Wanneroo Giants 11 - Western Comets 1 Wanneroo Giants stole the lead late and defeated Western Comets 11-1 on Thursday. The game was tied at one with the Giants batting in the bottom of the fourth when an error scored one run. The Comets got their offense started in the first when Jayden Hinchliffe grounded out, scoring one run. The Giants tied things up at one in the bottom when Rhys Hards drove in one on a single. The Giants pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning as Jack Brooks singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. The Giants tallied five runs in the sixth inning. Kristian Haeusler, Bailey Thompson, and Nikora Bryan all contributed with RBIs. Owen Capes was on the mound for the Giants. The pitcher went two and a third innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out three and walking zero. Xanda Huisman started the game for the Comets. The righty went four and a third innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out four. Loclan Farrell (Pribicevich) threw two-thirds of an inning out of the bullpen. Thompson, Haeusler, Hards, Brooks, Chloe Atkinson, Tom Hewett, and Lucas Santich each managed one hit for Wanneroo. The Comets collected seven hits. Farrell (Pribicevich), Arden Bridson, and Huisman each racked up multiple hits. Western Comets 11 - Carine Cats 8 The base paths were crowded today for both offenses in a high-scoring game where Western Comets came out on top against Carine Cats, 11-8. The Comets fired up the offense in the first inning when Jayden Hinchliffe's sac fly scored one run. Carine tied things up at two when an error scored one run. The Comets pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. Jaxon Daly doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run and Xanda Huisman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. The Comets scored five runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower was led by Bailey Green, Loclan Farrell (Pribicevich), and Huisman, who each had RBIs in the inning. Arden Bridson was on the hill for the Comets. The pitcher allowed one hit and three runs over two and a third innings, striking out two. Daniel Doheny started the game for Carine. The pitcher lasted two and a third innings, allowing one hit and three runs while striking out two. Simon Staltari and Kylan Granland entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and two innings respectively. Granland, Nathan Taylor, Lucas Nelson, Staltari, and Aaron Keating all had one hit to lead the Cats. Granland had four of the team's 16 stolen bases. The Comets tallied ten hits including multiple to Green, Hinchliffe, and Jamie Dupagne. Western Tigers 29 - Southern Hills Warriors 13 Southern Hills Warriors stayed in it until the end, but Western Tigers pulled away late in a 29-13 victory on Thursday. The game was tied at 11 with Western Tigers batting in the top of the fourth when Boston Foot drew a walk, scoring one run. The Warriors collected eight hits and the Tigers had six in the high-scoring affair. The Warriors took an early lead in the first inning with an RBI single from Kyle Martins. The Warriors scored five runs in the second inning, led by Martins, Rhegan Prosser, Bailey Evans, Liam Charles, and Roman Cook, who each had RBIs in the inning. The Tigers scored 15 runs in the fifth inning. Foot, Logan Truscott, Kye Varrone, Lucas Firth, Brock Dennis, and Rowan Edmunds each drove in runs during the inning. Foot led things off on the hill for the Tigers while Martins threw for the Warriors. The righty surrendered two runs on two hits over one inning, striking out one. Evans, Jamie Sidebottom, Nicholas Bingham, and Cook each entered the game in relief, throwing one and one-third innings, one inning, one inning, and two-thirds of an inning respectively. The Warriors racked up eight hits on the day. Keelan Murray went 3-for-4 and Martins had managed multiple hits too. The Warriors stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Ethan Horn led the way with two. Xavia Aporo went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Tigers in hits. Kyan Bertolini led the team with four stolen bases. Central Firebirds 16 - Southern Hills Warriors 1 Southern Hills Warriors had a tough time generating runs on Thursday, dropping their game with Central Firebirds 16-1. The Firebirds got things started in the first inning when Keelan Murray's wild pitch allowed one run to score. The Warriors knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning. Riley Hall lined out, scoring one run. The Firebirds pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. Caleb Johnston singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Jake Clark drew a walk, scoring one run. They also scored six runs in the fifth inning with RBIs from Jasper Smith, Daniel Johnston, Jesse Hawke, Hugo Otobe, and Xavier Short. Otobe led the Firebirds to victory on the hill. The righty allowed one hit and zero runs over one and one-third innings, walking one. Johnston threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Murray took the loss for the Warriors, allowing one hit and three runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two. Clark started the game for the Firebirds. The righthander allowed five hits and one run over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. Ethan Horn went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Warriors in hits. Central Firebirds 8 - Southern Hills 6 Despite a five-run deficit in the third inning, Southern Hills Warriors almost came all the way back, eventually falling 8-6 to Central Firebirds on Wednesday. The Warriors scored five runs in the failed comeback on a sacrifice fly by Hudson Morawiec, a home run by Riley Hall, and a single by Roman Cook, all in the fifth inning. The Firebirds got things moving in the first inning as Jake Clark drew a walk, scoring one run. Fletcher Thomas got the start for Central. The righthander surrendered one run on one hit over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Ethan Horn toed the rubber for the Warriors, lasting two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero hits and four runs. Cook went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Warriors in hits. The Firebirds scattered eight hits in the game, including multiple from Kyle Benson and Clark. The side didn't commit a single error in the field as Jesse Hawke had six chances in the field, the most on the team. Western Tigers 6 - Central Firebirds 4 Western Tigers snagged a late lead and defeated Central Firebirds 6-4 on Wednesday. The game was tied at four with Western Tigers batting in the bottom of the sixth when Boston Foot singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. Rowan Edmunds who went 4-for-4 at the plate for the Tigers with three singles and a double. The Tigers took an early lead in the second inning when Luke Hodge's wild pitch allowed one run to score. The Firebirds tied things up at four in the top of the fifth when an error scored one run. Cody Embrey led things off on the hill for the Tigers. The righty surrendered three runs on three hits over three innings, striking out one and walking one. Kyle Benson toed the rubber for Central. The pitcher lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out three and walking one. Hodge, Kaleb Bransby, and Jake Clark each contributed in relief for the Firebirds. The Tigers had 11 hits in the game. Edmunds, Embrey, and Foot each had multiple hits. The Firebirds didn't commit a single error in the field. Jasper Smith had eight chances in the field, the most on the team. Carine Cats 20 - Western Comets 18 Carine Cats snagged a late lead and defeated Western Comets 20-18 on Wednesday. The game was tied at 15-all with Carine batting in the bottom of the sixth when Simon Staltari singled, scoring two runs. An eight-run lead in the fifth inning was just enough for the Cats to hold off the Comets for the victory. Western Comets scored seven runs in the failed comeback on a walk by Jaxon Daly, a walk by Loclan Farrell (Pribicevich), a single by Jayden Hinchliffe, and a double by Malachi Edwards all in the sixth inning. Western Comets opened up scoring in the first inning. Daly drove in one run when he doubled. After they scored four runs in the top of the fifth, Carine answered with four of its own. Western Comets scored when Edwards singled, scoring two runs and then Bailey Green scored another run. The Cats then answered when Lachlan Titheradge drew a walk, scoring one run and Elliott Giddens grounded out, scoring two runs. Giddens led things off on the mound for Carine. The righthander surrendered two runs on one hit over two and a third innings, striking out one. Kurt Van Der Graaf was on the mound for Western Comets. The pitcher surrendered six runs on five hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two. Jamie Dupagne, Green, Lachlan Godfrey, and Arden Bridson each entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings, two-thirds of an inning, two-thirds of an inning, and one-third of an inning respectively. Carine had 11 hits in the game. Titheradge went 3-for-4 and William Eastman had multiple hits too. Aaron Keating had five of his team's 17 stolen bases. Western Comets totalled 13 hits in the game. Farrell (Pribicevich) led the way with seven. Wanneroo Giants 21 - Carine Cats 4 Despite allowing three runs in the fourth, Wanneroo defeated Carine 21-4. The offensive firepower by the Cats was led by Daniel Doheny and Kylan Granland, all driving in runs in the frame. The Giants opened up scoring in the first inning on a stolen base during Rhys Hards's at bat. Hards then singled, driving in one. Lucas Santich got the start for Wanneroo. The pitcher surrendered one run on two hits over one inning. Lucas Nelson was on the mound for Carine. The righthander allowed seven runs on one hit. Little League Division 1 Grand Final Eastern Phantoms 7 - Wanneroo Giants 6 The grand final game against Eastern Phantoms was a heartbreaker for Wanneroo Giants, as they lost the lead late in a 7-6 defeat. The Phantoms were down 6-5 in the top of the sixth inning when Sebastian C singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. The Giants collected five hits and the Phantoms had six. Wanneroo took an early lead in the first inning when Riley L doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Marcus W got the start for the Phantoms. The righty lasted one-third of an inning, allowing zero hits and three runs. Sebastian B led things off on the mound for Wanneroo. The bulldog went four innings, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out four. Zach R and Hyte B entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning respectively. Wanneroo collected five hits on the day. Riley and Cooper B had two hits apiece for the Giants. The Phantoms collected six hits which two apiece from Klay D, Zai G, and Sebastian. Little League Division 2 Grand Final Wanneroo Giants 6 - Sun City Thunder 2 Wanneroo Giants won the contest against Sun City Thunder with a final score of 6-2. The Giants opened up scoring in the first inning, when Taylor B drew a walk, scoring one run. They scored three in the second on groundouts by Mitchell E and Declan M and a walk by Mason E. Brayden G got the start for the Giants. The righty lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out ten. Summer C toed the rubber for Sun City. The righty lasted three and a third innings, allowing two hits and five runs while striking out four. Sean M threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Brayden went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Giants in hits. The team was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Declan had the most chances in the field with 14. Summer led Sun City with two hits in three at bats. The side didn't commit a single error in the field as Ashton C took six chances, the most of the team. The Warriors scored five runs in the third inning, but the Firebirds still managed to pull out the victory. They opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored a run. Tate V was on the pitcher's mound for the Firebirds. The righty went three innings, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out nine. Harry D was on the hill for Southern Hills. The righthander allowed seven hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out six and walking zero. Zach T threw one inning in relief. The Firebirds collected eight hits on the day including two apiece from Connor O and Joel V. Zach went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Warriors in hits. The Titans scored four runs in the failed comeback on a groundout by Conor S in the fifth, a groundout by Jordan M in the sixth, and a error in the sixth. Koby T got the start for the Sharks. The pitcher surrendered five runs on one hit over five and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Josh B started the game for the Titans. Josh surrendered four runs on one hit over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking one. Cooper toed the rubber for Wanneroo, lasting five and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out eight. Taylor C started the game for Coastal Bay. Sebastian drove in runs on a triple in the first and a single in the second. Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. The Phantoms collected six hits and the Firebirds had five. The Phantoms fired up the offense in the first inning, when Sebastian tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. They tallied five runs in the fifth led by Sebastian, Ethan S, Arata S, and Tex P, all knocking in runs. The Firebirds scored three runs in the third inning on a single by Oliver H. Zai G was on the pitcher's mound for the Phantoms. The southpaw surrendered four runs on four hits over four innings, striking out ten. Preston B toed the rubber for the Firebirds. The righthander surrendered six runs on three hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Logan H threw three and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Carine notched six runs in the second inning with RBIs from Kaelan L, Matthew T, Oliver N, and Wyatt A. The Titans scored nine runs in the second inning, led by Leonard, Jordan M, Shaun A, Lachlan W, Conor S, and Mark H, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs. The Warriors managed seven runs in the failed comeback. Lachlan V, Dylan D, Corey C, Lachlan, Dylan, and Jaxxon S powered the rally with RBIs. Both teams exchanged the lead back-and-forth in the game, but the Firebirds pulled ahead for good thanks to a home run in the fifth inning. The Firebirds fired up the offense in the first inning, when Alexander C tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. The Warriors put up six runs in the fourth inning. Emma R, Dylan, Aidan G, and Kian W all drove in runs in the frame. Rocco V was on the pitcher's mound for the Firebirds. The bulldog lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and eight runs while striking out three. Emma was on the hill for the Warriors. The righthander went three innings, allowing ten runs on eight hits and striking out three. Millar B, Sebastian O, and Dylan each contributed in relief for the Warriors. Qualifying Final 2: Sun City Thunder 18 - Central Firebirds 13 Central Firebirds lost the lead late in an 18-13 defeat to Sun City Thunder on Sunday. Sun City trailed 13-12 in the top of the fifth inning when an error scored two runs. The Firebirds lost despite out-hitting Thunder 15 to seven. Central captured the lead in the first inning on an RBI single from Lucas C. The Firebirds notched six runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Lucas D and Logan N and a triple by Chayce H. Owen M was on the mound for Sun City. The righthander went two innings, allowing ten runs on nine hits and striking out four. Alexander C was on the hill for the Firebirds, covering four innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out six. Alex V, Lucas, and Oliver C each contributed in relief. The Firebirds saw the ball well with 15 hits, including multiple from Alexander, Chayce, Rocco V, Lucas, and Lucas. They put up five runs in the fourth inning as Alexander S had an RBI stolen base to lead the run scoring.
