W: Devon Ramirez (2-3), L: Adam Millson (2-5) Game 2: Carine Cats 6-2 Gosnells Hawks W: Peter Reyes (4-4), L: Kane Silvi (0-1) The Carine Cats closed the gap on the playoff spots by recording a double-header sweep over the Gosnells Hawks over the weekend. After claiming a tense 6-5 win in game one thanks to Cameron Landy’s go-ahead run in the seventh inning, the Cats made it two on the bounce after taking game two by a score of 6-2. Carine utility Peter Reyes had a day to remember – homering and driving in a team-high five runs in game one before taking to the mound in game two where he struck out nine batters across 7.1 frames. Reyes gave up just one run on five base hits to record the win.
