Harcher State League Semi-Final 1 is now a tied series 1-1 after Wanneroo beat Victoria Park Belmont 3-2 on Thursday night at Empire Ballpark.
The win forces Game 3 on Saturday, with the winner of that game moving on to the Harcher State League Grand Final Series!
Semi-Final 2 between Morley and Braves continues on Friday night at the ballpark. Braves lead the series 1-0.

Wanneroo Giants 3, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 2
Wanneroo Giants defeated Victoria Park Belmont Reds 3-2 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. It was tied at two in the top of the eighth when Byron Armstrong singled, scoring one run.
Both teams were strong on the hill. Wanneroo pitchers struck out 10 while Vic Park sat down eight.
Wanneroo opened the scoring in the top of the second thanks to two singles. Daniel Stephenson had an RBI base hit to make it 1-0.
Cody Van Der Graaf singled, helping Reds tie the game at two in the bottom of the third.
Tom Bailey opened the game for Wanneroo. The right-handed pitcher allowed 12 hits and two runs over eight innings, striking out eight and walking two.
Mizuki Akatsuka started on the mound for Vic Park. He surrendered six hits and three runs (one earned) over nine innings, striking out eight and walking none.
Frazer Brice pitched one inning of zero-run ball for Wanneroo in relief. The righty gave up one hit, striking out two and walking two.
Stephenson, Nicholas Riley, Owen Pilcher, Jacob Santich, Daniel Bourke, and Armstrong each collected one hit for Wanneroo. Stephenson, Pilcher, and Armstrong each drove in a run while the defense turned one double play.
Reds collected 13 hits in the game. Van Der Graaf went 1-for-4 with a team-high 2 RBIs. Eddie Satisky had three hits in five at-bats while Josh Paull and Taiyo Kurosawa recorded multiple hits as well. The defense turned two double plays.
