Baseball WA is excited to announce the launch of the Women’s Elite Series ahead of the 2024/25 season. Carine Cats, Kalamunda Rangers, Wanneroo Giants, and Braves will take part in the new competition, which will be played on Wednesday nights at Empire Ballpark starting early October.
The Elite Women’s comp is a Club Cup Tournament, with all games broadcast on Streamer (7West Media) as part of a new partnership.
“We are pleased to add the Elite Series to our women’s program after a restructuring of the existing Women’s Baseball Leagues and Youth Girls Competitions,” Competitions Manager Jes Fitzgerald said.
“We are dedicated to increasing promotion and exposure of women’s baseball competitions, with flexible formats and competitive competitions for all female players. We can’t wait to get started with the inaugural Women’s Elite Series and wish everyone the best of luck.”
The Women’s Elite Series will follow a single-round format for four games, with the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals. Games will be seven innings with a two-hour time limit.
Baseball WA is seeking sponsors for the Women’s Elite Series with naming rights available.
There are also broadcast and content media opportunities for those interested in showcasing this exciting new series and celebrating the growth of women’s baseball in WA.
