Harcher State League is heating up as teams set their sights on finals! While only two games went ahead this weekend due to the heat, the rest will hopefully be replayed later this week.

Swan Districts Swans 5, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 3
Swan Districts beat Victoria Park Belmont 5-3 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. It was tied at three in the bottom of the eighth when Landen Barns singled, scoring two runs.
Vic Park got on the board in the top of the third inning after one run scored on another play, and Ryan Boyer singled, scoring two runs.
Swan Districts took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth thanks to singles by Michael De Gasperis and Barns.
Dillan Clarkson earned the win for Swan Districts. The left-handed pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out none and walking one.
Logan Truscott took the loss for Reds. The pitcher went one inning, giving up three runs (zero earned) on two hits, striking out none and walking two.
Boston Foot stepped on the mound first for Swan Districts. The hurler gave up six hits and three runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking none.
Curtis Bacon opened the game for Vic Park, allowing nine hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking none.
Swan Districts collected 11 hits in the game. De Gasperis led with three hits in five at-bats from the leadoff position. Barns and De Gasperis each drove in two runs while Rowan Edmunds and Cole Snidow had multiple hits. The defense turned one double play in the game.
Boyer provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading Reds with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Cody Van Der Graaf and Logan Warkentin each collected two hits.
Wanneroo Giants 4, UWA Magpies 3
Wanneroo Giants took Sunday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 4-3 walk-off victory over UWA Magpies at Mateljan Park, Madeley. It was tied at three in the bottom of the ninth when Ethan Cooper singled, scoring one run.
UWA Magpies jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Henry Kellen singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.
Wanneroo tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a ground out by Cooper, and a single by Courtney Jones.
Zane Morrison earned the win for Giants. The reliever surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out one and walking none.
Cooper started on the mound for Wanneroo. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking five. Callum Schipp pitched one scoreless inning in relief. The right-handed pitcher allowed one hit, striking out one and walking none.
Kodai Hamaya took the loss for UWA Magpies. He threw two and one-third innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out two and walking none.
Nick Alexiou stepped on the mound first for UWA Magpies. The starter surrendered seven hits and three runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking one.
Wanneroo collected 11 hits in the game. Cooper went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead the side in hits. Daniel Bourke and Daniel Stephenson also collected multiple hits while the defense turned one double play in the game.
Joshua Houston, UWA Magpies number eight hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Outfielder Kellen led with two runs batted in on a 1-for-4 day.
UWA Magpies were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Bryan Nobles had the most chances with 10.
