Braves, Perth, Morley, and Wanneroo remain in the Harcher State League top four for another week. Rockingham, Braves, UWA Magpies, Gosnells, Wanneroo, Swan Districts, and Perth all picked up wins in Week 19.

Rockingham Rams 4, Carine Cats 1
Vinnie Tarantola was dominant on the hill, as the starting pitcher rang up 12 strikeouts in Rockingham’s 4-1 victory over Carine Cats on Tuesday. Tarantola allowed four hits and one run over seven innings while walking four.
Carine was first to get on the board in the third when Brendan Heath doubled, scoring one run.
Chris Proctor doubled to center field on an 0-2 count, which helped Rockingham tie the game at one in the bottom of the third.
Rams took the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning after Jesse Sequeira singled to center field, Carine committed an error, and David Nichols grounded out, each scoring one run.
Jordan Power took the loss for Carine. The right-handed pitcher went two innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on two hits, striking out four and walking none. Nico Antoine led things off on the hill, giving up three hits and one run over three innings, striking out five and walking two.
Sequeira and Proctor were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Rockingham. Proctor went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Rams in hits. Proctor had three stolen bases with six total for the team.
Heath went 1-for-3 at the plate and led Carine with one run batted in. Bailey Moorfield, Jack Angeloff, Heath, and Elliot Giddens each collected one hit.
Braves 3, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 0
Both teams were strong on the hill on Friday, but Braves defeated Victoria Park Belmont 3-0. Matt Kennelly started the game for Braves and recorded 18 outs.
A double by Ben Drew on the sixth pitch of the at-bat put Braves on the board in the top of the fourth.
Kennelly started on the hill for Braves. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking none.
Logan Warkentin led things off on the hill for Vic Park Belmont. The hurler gave up three hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking four.
Todd Hatcher pitched one inning of shutout ball for Braves in relief. The pitcher gave up two hits, striking out two and walking one.
James Smibert, Drew, and Kennelly each collected one hit for Braves. Smibert, Drew, and Kennelly each drove in one run while the defense was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Daniel Choi made the most plays with 10.
Leadoff hitter Matthew Goetzmann led Reds with two hits in three at-bats.
UWA Magpies 5, Gosnells Hawks 1
UWA Magpies were victorious against Gosnells Hawks 5-1 on Saturday. Hawks scored first after Robin Adamson doubled, scoring one run in the opening frame.
Joris Van Ballegooy singled to center field, which helped UWA Magpies tie the game at one in the top of the third.
UWA Magpies jumped into the lead in the top of the fifth when Joshua Houston was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Bryan Nobles drew a walk, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
Henry Kellen pitched five innings in relief for UWA Magpies. The reliever allowed four hits and zero runs while, striking out five and walking three.
Riley Hall led things off on the bump for UWA Magpies. The pitcher allowed three hits and one run over two innings, striking out none and walking one.
Tim Leitch began the game for Gosnells, giving up four hits and one run over three innings, striking out none and walking none.
Kellen, Tyler Hill, Jacob Davila, Van Ballegooy, and William Eastman each collected one hit for UWA Magpies. Nobles and Van Ballegooy each drove in one run while Riley Spring had two of the team’s four stolen bases. UWA Magpies turned two double plays in the game.
Lee Wisby, Adamson, and Brendan Warner each collected two hits for Gosnells. Adamson went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.
Gosnells Hawks 8, Carine Cats 6
Robin Adamson collected three hits in four at-bats, as Gosnells Hawks defeated Carine Cats 8-6 on Sunday at Tom Bateman Reserve, Thornlie. Adamson hit a home run to center field in the eighth inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.
Yuki Narita struck out 11 batters on the day. The hurler also gave up eight hits and one run over seven innings while walking four.
Carine got on the board in the first inning after Marcus Strother singled, scoring one run.
Gosnells took the lead in the bottom of the second. Taj Varga singled, scoring two runs, to give Hawks the leg up, 2-1.
Tim Leitch hit a solo home run to right field in the bottom of the sixth for Gosnells. Carine tied the game in the top of the eighth thanks to a double by Brendan Heath and a single by Jack Angeloff.
Gosnells took the lead in the bottom of the eighth. Adamson homered to center field, scoring three runs, to give Hawks the upper hand, 8-5.
Lee Wisby earned the win for Gosnells. The reliever allowed three hits and four runs (two earned) over one inning, striking out one and walking one.
Tarrant Reimers took the loss for Carine. The reliever went one inning, giving up three runs on one hit, striking out three and walking none.
Conor Lourey began the game for Carine. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking six. Jason Armstrong collected the save.
Varga collected two hits for Gosnells in four at-bats. Hawks had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game.
Carine collected 13 hits in the game. Heath led Cats with four runs batted in as the center fielder went 2-for-5 on the day. Strother led with three hits in three at-bats. Reimers, Thomas Summers, and Angeloff each collected multiple hits and Strother paced the team with two out of six walks.
Carine ran wild on the base paths, piling up four stolen bases for the game.
Perth 9, South Perth Souths 4
Perth took down South Perth 9-4 on Sunday at Inglewood Oval, Mt Lawley.
Perth got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Austin Moyle singled, scoring one run, and Jordano Vivona doubled, scoring two runs.
Cruze Brendon earned the win for Perth. The pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Riley Oliphant and Brayden Moyle each appeared in relief
Jai Hewitt took the loss for South Perth. The pitcher went three innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out three and walking three.
Perth piled up 12 hits in the game. Vivona led with three runs batted in as the right-handed hitter went 3-for-5 on the day. Spencer Sarringar, Moyle, and Dylan Bojarski each collected multiple hits while Perth turned two double plays in the game.
South Perth collected 11 hits as Jake Clark led with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The right fielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Hewitt, Jaxon Limpus, Brett Walters, and Justis Hellegards each collected two hits.
Swan Districts Swans 7, Morley Eagles 3
Swan Districts topped Morley Eagles 7-3 on Sunday at Charlie Hodder Field, Middle Swan.
Swans opened scoring in the bottom of the second thanks to two singles. They first got on the board when Riley Ozanne singled, scoring one run.
Swans scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth on a home run to left field by Anthony Daniele.
Mitch Graham hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the seventh for Morley.
Boston Foot earned the win for Swan Districts. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and one run over six and one-third innings, striking out three and walking two. Dillan Clarkson appeared in relief.
Kane Silvi took the loss for Morley. The starting pitcher went five innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out six and walking two.
Swan Districts tallied 10 hits in the game. Foot, Brody Clarkson, and Landen Barns each collected two hits while Daniele and Michael De Gasperis each drove in two runs.
Swans turned two double plays in the game and didn’t commit a single error in the field. Clarkson had the most fielding chances with 16.
Graham provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Morley with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Kieran Chapman, Reece Thompson, Graham, Joshua Silvi, Nick Ultsch, and Jeremy Sexton each collected one hit while the defense turned two double plays in the game.
UWA Magpies 14, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 6
UWA Magpies easily dispatched Victoria Park Belmont 14-6 on Sunday at Forster Park, Cloverdale.
UWA Magpies jumped out to the lead in the top of the third inning after Joris Van Ballegooy singled, scoring one run, Tyler Hill doubled, scoring two runs, Madoka Honjo doubled, scoring two runs, and Eita Samukawa singled, scoring one run.
Reds scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Ryan Boyer doubled, scoring one run, Joshua Cosgrove singled, scoring two runs, Joshua Greenham singled, scoring one run, and Matthew Goetzmann singled, scoring two runs.
Riley Hall stepped on the mound first for UWA Magpies. The pitcher surrendered three hits and four runs over five and one-third innings, striking out four and walking three.
Curtis Bacon stepped on the mound first for Vic Park. The hurler surrendered five hits and six runs over three innings, striking out two and walking two.
Nick Alexiou tossed two innings of zero-run ball for UWA Magpies in relief. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out three and walking none.
UWA Magpies piled up 14 hits in the game. Hill provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led with four runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Number nine hitter, William Eastman, showed the depth of the lineup by leading with three hits in six at-bats.
Van Ballegooy, Samukawa, and Honjo each collected multiple hits for UWA Magpies, who had patience at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. Hill, Van Ballegooy, and Samukawa led the team with two free passes each and Riley Spring stole three bases.
Greenham and Goetzmann each collected two hits for Vic Park. Cosgrove and Goetzmann both drove in two runs.
Wanneroo Giants 2, Braves 1
Wanneroo Giants took Sunday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 2-1 walk-off victory over Braves at Mateljan Park, Madeley. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the eleventh when Adam Barbarich singled, scoring one run.
Both teams were strong on the hill. Wanneroo pitchers struck out 15, while Braves sat down 12.
Braves got on the board in the eleventh inning after a dropped third strike scored one run.
In the bottom of the eleventh inning, Wanneroo went back into the lead after Jackson Riley hit into a fielder’s choice, and Barbarich singled to right field, each scoring one run.
Tom Bailey earned the win for Wanneroo. The righty surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking none.
Sam Kennelly took the loss for Braves. The right-handed pitcher went three innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out four and walking none.
Zane Morrison started the game for Wanneroo. He gave up three hits and zero runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking one.
Tucker Smith started the game for Braves. The hurler gave up two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking one. Callum Schipp and Frazer Brice each came on in relief for Wanneroo and shut down Braves.
Henry Schineller, Barbarich, Nicholas Riley, and Ethan Cooper each collected one hit for Wanneroo. Barbarich went 1-for-5 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Giants didn’t commit a single error in the field as Daniel Stephenson had the most chances with 15.
Lenny Golding led Braves with one run batted in. Geoff Kerr, Ben Drew, Kennelly, and James Smibert each collected one hit while the defense turned a double play.
