Braves, Perth, Morley, Wanneroo, and Rockingham wrapped up Week 22 of Harcher State League in the top five final season standings.
Following Friday’s Elimination Final between Wanneroo Giants and Rockingham Rams, the winner will play Braves in a best-of-three semi-final series, while Perth and Morley will face off in SF2.

Victoria Park Belmont Reds 3, Gosnells Hawks 2
Both teams were strong on the hill on Tuesday, but Victoria Park Belmont defeated Gosnells Hawks 3-2. Logan Truscott started the game for Reds and recorded 15 outs.
Gosnells got on the board in the first inning after Ryan Smith hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Darcy Clements singled down the left field line, which helped Vic Park tie the game at one in the top of the fourth.
In the top of the sixth, Reds broke up the tie when Clements doubled, scoring one run. Then a sacrifice fly by Matthew Goetzmann followed to extend the lead to 3-1.
Truscott, Vic Park’s starting pitcher, surrendered four hits and one run over five innings, striking out five and walking none. Curtis Bacon appeared in relief.
Lee Wisby led things off on the mound for Gosnells. The pitcher gave up eight hits and three runs over six innings, striking out three and walking two.
Reds tallied 10 hits in the game. Clements, the number nine hitter, led the way with two runs batted in as the second baseman went 2-for-3 on the day. Bacon went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits, while the defense was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. William Truscott had the most fielding chances with six.
Smith and Robin Adamson were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Gosnells. Adamson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Hawks in hits. They didn’t commit a single error as Adamson made the most plays with seven.
Morley Eagles 3, Gosnells Hawks 0
Both teams were strong on the hill on Wednesday, but Morley Eagles defeated Gosnells Hawks 3-0. Brendan Sing started the game for Morley and recorded six outs.
A double by Mitch Graham put Morley on the board in the bottom of the first.
Raleigh Pelkonen earned the win for Eagles. The reliever allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Kane Silvi and Lochlan Southee each came on in relief to shut down the Hawks.
Yuki Narita took the loss for Gosnells. The starting pitcher went four innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on six hits, striking out six and walking four.
Sing stepped on the bump first for Morley. The starter allowed two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking none.
Morley collected nine hits in the game. Nick Ultsch set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading with three hits in four at-bats. Kieran Chapman, Ultsch, and Graham each drove in one run while Jess Williams paced the team with two out of six walks.
Morley turned one double play in the game. Eagles were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error as Reece Thompson had the most chances with nine.
Jarrod McKay, Robin Adamson, and Tim Leitch each collected one hit for Gosnells.
South Perth Souths 5, Carine Cats 2
South Perth were triumphant over Carine Cats 5-2 on Friday at Baseball Park, Thornlie. A single by Jai Hewitt put South Perth on the board in the bottom of the third.
South Perth committed an error, which helped Carine tie the game at one in the top of the fourth.
In the bottom of the fifth, South Perth broke up the tie when Hewitt doubled, scoring two runs. Then a single by Caleb Goodwin followed to extend the lead to 5-1.
Hewitt began the game for South Perth. The hurler gave up five hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out seven and walking six.
Tim Holmes led things off on the bump for Carine. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and five runs (three earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking six.
Hewitt provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led South Perth with three runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-3 on the day. Jake Bowey also collected two hits for South Perth while Oliver McMahon took two of the team’s six walks. The defense turned one double play in the game.
Conor Lourey, Brendan Heath, Marcus Strother, Elliot Giddens, and Cooper McDonnell each collected one hit for Carine. McDonnell led Cats with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game.
Braves 2, UWA Magpies 0
Braves defeated UWA Magpies 2-0 on Sunday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Todd Hatcher, Tucker Smith, and Matt Kennelly each pitched for Braves in the game. Kennelly induced a fly out from Riley Spring to get the last out.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Braves pitchers struck out 10, while UWA Magpies sat down 11.
Braves got on the board in the bottom of the third inning after Josh Kennelly grounded out, and Daniel Choi singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Smith earned the win for Braves. The reliever surrendered zero hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking none.
Hatcher stepped on the bump first for Braves. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking none.
Kodai Hamaya started the game for UWA Magpies. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and two runs (zero earned) over six innings, striking out seven and walking two. Kennelly pitched two innings of scoreless ball for Braves in relief. The hurler surrendered one hit, striking out one and walking one.
Choi and Kennelly were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Braves. Kevin Clark, Choi, James Smibert, and Tim Kennelly all had one hit while the defense didn’t commit a single error in the field. Clark had the most fielding chances with 12.
Henry Kellen went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead UWA Magpies in hits.
Carine Cats 3, South Perth Souths 2
Both teams were strong on the mound on Sunday, but Carine Cats defeated South Perth 3-2. Nico Antoine started the game for Carine and recorded 18 outs.
A single by Justis Hellegards on a full count put South Perth on the board in the top of the second. Tarrant Reimers singled down the left field line, which helped Cats tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.
A single by Jack Angeloff gave Carine the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the fourth.
South Perth scored one run in the top of the ninth on a solo home run to center field by Caleb Goodwin.
Antoine earned the win for Carine. The starter gave up three hits and one run (zero earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking three.
Jake Bowey took the loss for South Perth. The hurler went eight innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, striking out 10 and walking none. Conor Lourey collected the save.
Reimers, Marcus Strother, Lourey, Carlos Salas, Bailey Moorfield, Thomas Summers, Angeloff, and Brendan Heath each collected one hit for Carine. Reimers, Moorfield, and Angeloff drove in one run whil Salas stole two bases.
Goodwin, Bowey, Brett Walters, and Hellegards each collected one hit for South Perth. Goodwin and Hellegards were a one-two punch in the lineup, both driving in one run while the defense turned two double plays in the game.
Morley Eagles 9, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 1
Alex Hall hit two home runs and drove in five as Morley Eagles defeated Victoria Park Belmont Reds 9-1 on Sunday at Forster Park, Cloverdale. Hall homered in the fourth and second innings.
Kieren Hall struck out 10 batters on the day. The hurler also gave up zero hits and zero runs over five innings while walking none.
Morley got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jess Williams grounded into a fielder’s choice, Matt Dixon doubled down the left field line, and Aaron Bonomi hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Hall homered to center field, scoring two runs in the top of the second for Eagles. They added four more runs in the top of the fourth inning on five hits. Hall homered to center field, scoring three runs, and Bonomi singled, scoring one run.
Mathew Martin opened the game for Vic Park. The pitcher gave up 11 hits and nine runs over five innings, striking out one and walking two.
Brendan Sing pitched one inning of shutout ball for Morley in relief. The reliever gave up one hit with no walks or strikeouts.
Morley tallied 13 hits in the game. Hall and Mitch Graham were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits while hitting back-to-back. Nick Ultsch collected two hits in four at-bats. They turned one double play in the game, too.
Darcy Clements led Reds with one run batted in. Curtis Bacon had two hits in four at-bats.
Perth 13, Rockingham Rams 0
Jalen McGee drove in four runs on two hits to lead Perth past Rockingham Rams 13-0 on Sunday at Inglewood Oval, Mt Lawley. McGee singled in the fourth inning, scoring one, and singled again in the sixth inning, scoring two runs.
Perth got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Rockingham committed an error, and Austin Moyle hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Perth added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Joshua McGee singled down the left field line, and Spencer Sarringar grounded into a fielder’s choice, each scoring one run.
Perth scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Stuart Sara induced Jake White to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Riley Oliphant singled, scoring one run, McGee hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and McGee singled, scoring two runs.
Travis McDonald earned the win for Perth. The pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over one inning with no walks or strikeouts.
Lachlan Cahill took the loss for Rockingham. The starter went four innings, allowing eight runs (five earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking four.
Christopher St-Pierre started the game for Perth. The pitcher allowed four hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking two. Brayden Moyle threw two innings of no-run ball in relief. He gave up one hit, striking out two and walking none.
Perth totaled 10 hits in the game. Sarringar, McGee, and Dylan Bojarski each collected two hits while the defense turned two double plays in the game. Perth was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Sarringar had the most fielding chances with seven.
Joshua Diggins set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Rockingham with three hits in three at-bats.
Wanneroo Giants 11, Swan Districts Swans 3
Wanneroo Giants defeated Swan Districts 11-3 on Sunday at Mateljan Park, Madeley thanks in part to six runs in the fourth inning. Chase Shortland drew a walk, scoring one run, Dillan Clarkson induced Ethan Cooper to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Adam Barbarich singled, scoring one run, and Henry Schineller doubled, scoring three runs.
Wanneroo opened scoring in the bottom of the second thanks to two singles. Giants first got on the board when Quinn Fatai singled, scoring one run.
Kristian Haeusler pitched four innings in relief for Wanneroo. The right-handed pitcher surrendered three hits and three runs (two earned) while striking out three and walking one.
Zane Morrison stepped on the bump first for Wanneroo. The pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out five and walking two.
Clarkson stepped on the mound first for Swans. The lefty allowed six hits and seven runs (six earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking three.
Wanneroo recorded nine hits in the game. Schineller provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 1-for-3 on the day.
Byron Armstrong and Fatai each collected two hits for Wanneroo. Cooper Barber led with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 13 walks for the game. The defense turned one double play in the game.
Leadoff hitter Michael De Gasperis led Swan Districts with two hits in four at-bats. Eric Webb and Anthony Daniele each drove in one run for Swan Districts while the defense turned one double play in the game.
