We are a month into the 2025/26 Harcher State League Season, with Wanneroo, Braves, Morley, Carine, and Perth currently rounding out the top five.

South Perth 9, UWA Magpies 6
Ronnie Allen Jr showed a strong eye at the plate on Sunday, walking three times while leading South Perth to a 9-6 victory over UWA Magpies.
South Perth got on board in the first inning after Oliver McMahon drew a walk, scoring one run. They added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after McMahon walked again.
Takashi Umino earned the win for South Perth. The pitcher surrendered six hits and two runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Kyle Poapst took the loss for UWA Magpies. The hurler went three innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on one hit, striking out six and walking six.
Joel Vlasic pitched one and one-third innings of scoreless ball for South Perth in relief. The pitcher gave up two hits, striking out three and walking one.
Vlasic and McMahon were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for the Souths. Caleb Scorer and Craig Saupold each collected two hits while McMahon led with four out of 15 walks total.
UWA Magpies tallied 12 hits in the game. Poapst drove the middle of the lineup, leading with two runs batted in as the number three hitter went 3-for-5 on the day. Poapst and Riley Spring each collected three hits while Tyson Edwards and Cooper Tomkinson had two apiece. The defense turned three double plays in the game.
Rockingham Rams 6, Swan Districts Swans 3
Joshua Diggins collected three hits in four at-bats as Rockingham Rams defeated Swan Districts 6-3 on Sunday at Charlie Hodder Field D1. Diggins singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the fifth.
A home run to center field by Michael De Gasperis put Swan Districts on the board in the bottom of the first.
Swans scored one run in the bottom of the fourth on a solo home run to left field by De Gasperis.
Rockingham flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 5-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Diggins that drove in two.
Vincent Tarantola stepped on the bump first for Rockingham. The pitcher allowed three hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.
Sean Means stepped on the hill first for Swan Districts. The pitcher gave up seven hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking four.
Rams totaled nine hits and stole four bases in the game.De Gasperis drove the middle of the lineup, leading Swans with three runs batted in as the center fielder went 2-for-3 on the day.
Braves 5, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 1
Tucker Smith was dominant on the mound, as the starter rang up 16 strikeouts in a 5-1 Braves victory over Victoria Park Belmont on Sunday at Frankland Park D1. Smith gave up one hit and zero runs over six innings while walking two.
Tim Kennelly collected three hits in four at-bats in the win. Kennelly singled in the first inning, hit a solo home run to left field in the third, and singled again in the sixth.
Braves opened scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Braves first got on the board when Ben Drew singled, scoring one run. Kennelly hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the third for the Braves.
Andrew Hurrelbrink started the game for Victoria Park Belmont. The pitcher surrendered eight hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking three.
Todd Hatcher appeared in relief for Braves while the offense piled up 13 hits total. Lenny Golding collected two hits in four at-bats and Liam Collins paced the side with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game.
Braves didn’t commit a single error in the field. Geoff Kerr had the most fielding chances with 23.
Jack Smalpage led Vic Park with two hits in four at-bats.
Carine Cats 7, Gosnells Hawks 2
Cameran Brantley drove in four runs on two hits to lead Carine past Gosnells Hawks 7-2 on Sunday at Tindale Park D1. Brantley hit a home run to right field in the second inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the sixth inning, scoring one.
A double by Brendan Heath put Carine on the board in the bottom of the first. Temauri Lane singled to right field, which helped Gosnells tie the game at one in the top of the second.
In the bottom of the second, Carine broke up the tie when Cooper McDonnell doubled, scoring one run. Then a home run to right field by Brantley followed to extend the lead to 5-1.
Robin Adamson hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the seventh for the Hawks.
Timothy Holmes started the game for Carine. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking none.
Takahiro Homma opened the game for Gosnells. The pitcher allowed six hits and five runs over three innings, striking out five and walking two.
Elliott Giddens threw two innings of no-run ball for Carine in relief. The pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out two and walking none.
Cats totaled nine hits in the game with two apiece for Eita Samukawa, Brantley, and Oliver Wilkinson, while Heath stole two bases.
Adamson went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Gosnells in hits.
Wanneroo Giants 3, Morley Eagles 2
Wanneroo Giants snatched the lead late in their 3-2 victory over Morley Eagles on Sunday. The game was tied at two in the top of the seventh when Adam Barbarich grounded out, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides with 13 strikeouts each.
Wanneroo was first on the board in the fourth when Byron Armstrong doubled, scoring one run. Morley tied it at one on an error the next time up.
Wanneroo took the lead in the top of the sixth. Jake Turnbull doubled, scoring one run, to give the Giants a 2-1 advantage. Morley scored on a passed ball, which helped Eagles tie the game at two in the bottom of the sixth.
Arnad Mulamekic opened the game for Wanneroo, giving up one hit and two runs (zero earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out eight and walking two.
Kieran Hall led things off on the mound for Morley. The hurler gave up one hit and one run over five innings, striking out nine and walking four.
Kristian Haeusler and Frazer Brice both threw shutout innings for Wanneroo in relief.
Barbarich, Armstrong, and Turnbull each drove in one run for Wanneroo. Armstrong led the way with two hits in three at-bats while the defense turned one double play in the game.
Mitch Graham, Matt Dixon, and Aaron Bonomi each collected one hit for Morley. The Eagles turned one double play and were sure-handed in the field with no errors. Dixon had the most fielding chances with 13.
Perth 2, Swan Districts 1
Both teams were strong on the bump on Sunday, but Perth defeated Swan Districts 2-1. Brayden Moyle started the game for Perth and recorded 12 outs.
Spencer Sarringar hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, to put Perth on the board first.
Moyle started on the bump for Perth. The righty gave up three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out two and walking none.
Dillan Clarkson started the game for Swan Districts. The starting pitcher surrendered nine hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out one and walking one.
Boston Foot tossed one inning of no-run ball for Perth in relief. The right-handed pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out none and walking none.
Perth collected nine hits in the game, with two each for Josh McGee and Sarringar. Ben Nesbit and Sarringar each drove in one run for Perth while the defense turned one double play.
Riley Ozanne, Kye Varrone, and Brody Clarkson each collected one hit for Swan Districts as the defense took care of a double play, too.
