2026 Goldfields Baseball League – Free Come and Try Session
Baseball WA is pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 Goldfields Baseball League, with the season set to start in February.
This is a fantastic opportunity for juniors to take part in a Saturday Under 15 Machine Pitch competition, based at Ray Finlayson Playing Fields in the Kalgoorlie suburb of West Lamington.
Key Dates:
- December 2025 – registration opens
- Saturday 31 January 2026 – free come and try session (6pm U15 Machine Pitch, 8pm U17 baseball)
- Sunday 1 February 2026 – registration day
- Saturday 7 February 2026 – first U15 game 6pm
Machine Pitch uses a diamond with baselines of 70 feet in length, making it a great option for both new and returning players.
Mark Pierson, BWA Regional Servicing Officer – Goldfields-Esperance, looks forward to bring the league to life.
“With support from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, baseball has found a new home at the Ray Finlayson Field of Dreams,” Pierson said. “We encourage families with prospective U15 players to sign up and come enjoy a fantastic sport, and ideally, we hope to have enough interest to launch an U17 competition as well.”
