The 2025-26 Qbit CBL N/S Division 1 season picked back up after the break with three big games as Balcatta, Roleystone, and Willetton came away with wins in Week 12.

Balcatta Bears 14, Carine Cats Blue 1
Elliot Bruse collected three hits in three at-bats, as Balcatta Bears defeated Carine Cats Blue 14-1 on Sunday at Richard Guelfi Reserve. Bruse doubled in the first and singled in the second and fourth innings.
Balcatta scored eight runs in the fourth inning on the way to victory. Blake Farrow drew a walk, scoring one run, Dannel Dawson was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Bruse singled, scoring two runs, an error scored two runs, and Alan Burman singled, scoring two runs.
Carine Blue got on board in the first inning after Mitchell Fragall grounded out, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the first inning, Balcatta went back into the lead after Fraser Clarke singled, Cats committed an error, and Burman hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Balcatta added one run in the second after Dan Bailey hit a sacrifice fly. Bears added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Farrow doubled down the left field line, and Dawson hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Caleb Day stepped on the hill first for Balcatta. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and one run over five innings, striking out six and walking two.
Simon Macneall began the game for Carine Blue. The pitcher allowed 10 hits and six runs (four earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking one.
Balcatta accumulated 13 hits in the game. Burman drove the middle of the lineup, leading with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-2 on the day. Clarke and Farrow each collected multiple hits while the lineup took six walks and stole six bases.
Paul Donati went 1-for-1 at the plate to lead Carine Blue in hits. Ewan Upson stole two bases. The defense made one double play.
Roleystone 11, Carine Cats Grey 10
It came down to the wire on Sunday at Springdale Oval D1, as Roleystone grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 11-10, over Carine Cats Grey. The game was tied at 10 in the bottom of the fifth when Andrew Drury singled, scoring one run.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Roleystone collected 13 hits and Carine Cats Grey eight in the high-scoring affair.
A walk by Ben Hoffman put Carine on board in the top of the first. Andrew Isles grounded out, which helped Roleystone tie the game at one in the bottom half of the inning.
A dropped third strike broke up the tie in the second, and a single by Paul Flanagan followed to extend Carine’s lead to 3-1.
Roleystone took the lead, 5-3, in the bottom of the second thanks to singles by Michael North, Drury, and Isles.
Carine made it 6-5 in the top of the third thanks to singles by Levi O’Grady, and Mark Summers.
Roleystone took the lead, 8-6, in the bottom of the third thanks to singles by Jamie Wilkes and Thomas Dickson.
Carine tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to an error, a single by Justin Hayto, and another error.
Imanol Marentes started on the bump for Roleystone. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and six runs (four earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking three. Josh Coe appeared in relief.
Hayto led things off on the hill for Carine. The right-handed pitcher gave up nine hits and eight runs over three innings, striking out one and walking four.
Roleystone tallied 13 hits in the game. Drury set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading with three hits in three at-bats. North and Isles each drove in two runs while Mitchell Smart and Wilkes each collected multiple hits. The defense turned one double play in the game.
Summers led Carine Grey with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Hayto and O’Grady each collected two hits while Jarrod Ross had four of the team’s six stolen bases.
Willetton Wildcats 13, Wanneroo Giants 4
Travis Grigg drove in four runs on four hits to lead Willetton Wildcats past Wanneroo Giants 13-4 on Saturday at Willetton Park. Grigg hit a home run to center field in the second inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the fifth inning, scoring two.
Willetton opened scoring in the first after Sean Wright hit an RBI single. Wildcats added five more runs in the bottom of the second inning on three hits. Scott Drew singled, scoring one run, two runs scored on another play, and Grigg homered to center field, scoring two runs.
Willetton tacked on six runs on six hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Jonas Bowron doubled, scoring two runs, Geoff Proctor singled, scoring one run, Drew doubled, scoring one run, and Grigg doubled, scoring two runs. Wright hit a solo home run in the sixth.
Glen Tovey led things off on the hill for Willetton. The starting pitcher allowed 10 hits and four runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking one.
Wanneroo starter Meaghan Haggart allowed six hits and six runs over three innings, striking out one and walking two.
Willetton totaled 16 hits in the game. Drew, Wright, and Kaylan Grigg each collected multiple hits while the defense was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Proctor had the most fielding chances with eight.Wanneroo piled up 10 hits in the game. Xavier De Haas, Megan Everitt, and Grace Spano each collected two hits and an RBI. De Haas, Everitt, and Haggart stole multiple bases with seven total in the game. Giants turned one double play.
