Carine Cats 1, Swan Districts Swans 0
Carine Cats defeated Swan Districts 1-0 on Tuesday at Baseball Park as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jordan Power and Meylian Marin each pitched for Carine in the game, and Power struck out Jackson Stivey to get the last out.
Both teams were strong on the bump. Carine pitchers struck out 14, while Swan Districts sat down 13.
Carine got on the board in the fourth inning after one run scored on another play.
Marin earned the win for Cats. The hurler surrendered two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking three.
Sean Means took the loss for Swan Districts. The hurler went five innings, surrendering one run on one hit, striking out 10 and walking two.
Power tossed two innings of no-run ball for Carine in relief. The hurler surrendered one hit, striking out five and walking none.
Cooper McDonnell led Cats with one hit in three at-bats. The defense didn’t commit a single error in the field as Kamil Pejchat had the most chances with 14.Michael De Gasperis, Riley Ozanne, and Taiyo Kurosawa each collected one hit for Swan Districts. The defense didn’t make any errors as Nick Hoyt had the most fielding chances with 13.
Wanneroo Giants 4, Morley Eagles 1
Wanneroo Giants beat Morley Eagles 4-1 on Wednesday at Baseball Park. They got on board in the first with a bases-loaded walk by Quinn Fatai. Alex Hall walked to tie it up at one in the top of the second for Morley.
Wanneroo broke up the tie in the third when Maxim Fullerton singled, scoring one run. Then a single by Daniel Stephenson followed to extend the lead to 3-1.
Arnad Mulamekic earned the win for Wanneroo. The hurler gave up zero hits and one run over five innings, striking out six and walking seven.
Koskei Partington-Hopes took the loss for Morley. The starting pitcher went three innings, surrendering three runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out seven and walking four. Frazer Brice collected the save.
Stephenson, Wanneroo’s number seven hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Fullerton, Stephenson, Cooper Barber, and Fatai each drove in one run.
Aaron Bonomi and Kieren Chapman were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Morley. Hall led with one run batted in and three of the team’s seven walks.
Braves 6, Rockingham Rams 3
Braves topped Rockingham Rams 6-3 on Friday at Baseball Park. The winners opened scoring in the top of the second when Daniel Choi hit an RBI single.
A groundout by Kevin Clark helped Braves extend their lead to 3-1 in the top of the third.Jake Bowey began the game for Braves. The starter allowed eight hits and three runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking none.
Vincent Tarantola started the game for Rockingham. The left-handed pitcher gave up nine hits and six runs (four earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking seven.
Braves tallied nine hits in the game. Leadoff hitter Matt Kennelly led with two hits in three at-bats. Clark went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. The team had strong eyes at the plate, piling up seven walks.
David Nichols and Stuart Sara were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Rockingham. Nichols and Jacques Langford each drove in one run while the defense turned one double play.
Carine Cats 14, Wanneroo Giants 6
Cameran Brantley drove in five runs on two hits to lead Carine Cats past Wanneroo Giants 14-6 on Sunday at Mateljan Reserve D1. Brantley hit a grand slam to right field in the second inning, scoring four runs, and singled in the ninth inning, scoring one.
Carine opened scoring in the first after Kamil Pejchat was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.
Six more Cats crossed the plate in the second inning to extend the lead to 7-0. Cooper McDonnell singled, scoring two runs, and Brantley hit a grand slam to right field.
Conor Lourey started on the hill for Carine, allowing six hits and five runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking four.
Frazer Brice stepped on the mound first for Wanneroo. He allowed seven hits and seven runs (five earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one.
Jordan Power threw two innings of zero-run ball for Carine in relief. The pitcher gave up two hits, striking out four and walking one.
Cats accumulated 13 hits in the game, with three apiece for Power and McDonnell. Eita Samukawa and Pejchat had two hits while the team ran wild on the base paths, piling up four stolen bases total.
Wanneroo piled up 11 hits as Jacob Santich went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Cooper Barber went 3-for-4 and Byron Armstrong went 2-for-4.
Braves 6, Swan Districts Swans 3
Tim Kennelly collected four hits in four at-bats as Braves defeated Swan Districts 6-3 on Sunday at Charlie Hodder Field D1. Kennelly doubled in the third and also singled in the first, fifth, and seventh innings.
Braves were first to get on the board, scoring one run in the opening frame when Sam Kennelly grounded out. Swans responded in the second as Jackson Stivey homered to left field, scoring three runs, to give them the edge, 3-1.
An error by Swan Districts helped Braves tie the game at three in the top of the fourth.

Dillan Clarkson started the game for Swan Districts. The pitcher allowed 10 hits and five runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out two and walking two.
Kennelly pitched one inning of zero-run ball for Braves in relief. The hurler gave up zero hits and zero walks.
Braves collected 10 hits in the game. Kennelly drove the middle of the lineup, leading with two runs batted in as the infielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Joel Beches stole two bases and the defense turned one double play.
Stivey, the number nine hitter for Swan Districts, led the way with three runs batted in. The left fielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Michael De Gasperis, Anthony Daniele, Stivey, and Nick Hoyt each collected one hit.
Braves 6, Swan Districts Swans 2
Braves were triumphant over Swan Districts 6-2 on Sunday at Charlie Hodder Field D1. The winners scored in the second after Ben Drew hit a solo home run to left field.
Joshua Dowling hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Swan Districts tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.
Braves retook the lead in the top of the third. Yuto Okamura singled, scoring one run, to give them the upper hand, 2-1.
Brody Clarkson doubled, which helped Swans tie it at two in the bottom of the fourth.
Braves took the final lead in the sixth when Daniel Choi drew a walk, scoring one run, Matt Kennelly doubled, scoring two runs, and Okamura hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one more.
Tucker Smith started the game for Braves, giving up four hits and two runs over six innings, striking out six and walking one.
Sean Means opened the game for Swan Districts. The pitcher allowed five hits and six runs over five and one-third innings, striking out three and walking eight.
Todd Hatcher pitched one inning of scoreless ball for Braves in relief. The hurler allowed zero hits, striking out three and walking one.
Okamura and Kennelly were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits and drove in two runs for Braves. Kennelly paced the side with two walks (eight total for the team). The defense was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error as Choi had the most chances with 10.
Dowling and Clarkson each drove in one run for Swan Districts. Clarkson went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the side in hits while the defense turned two double plays. Swans were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error as Clarkson made the most plays with eight.
Gosnells Hawks 4, South Perth Souths 3
Gosnells Hawks snatched the lead late in their 4-3 victory over South Perth on Sunday. Gosnells were down 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning when Taj Varga doubled, scoring two runs.
Hawks scored first during their second time up when an error brought home a run. Caleb Scorer walked, which helped South Perth tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.
South Perth broke up the tie in the bottom of the fourth when Max Wheeler singled, scoring one run. Then a double by Craig Saupold followed to extend the lead to 3-1.
Gosnells captured the lead, 4-3, in the top of the fifth when Ryan Smith singled, scoring one run, and Varga doubled, scoring two runs.Patrick Frezza earned the win. The Hawks starter allowed five hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out three and walking seven.
Louis Scaramella pitched one inning of zero-run ball for Gosnells in relief. The hurler allowed two hits, striking out one and walking none.
Luke Gozzi took the loss for South Perth. The pitcher went one-third of an inning, allowing one run on one hit, striking out none and walking two.
Oliver Humphreys stepped on the mound first for South Perth. The pitcher gave up three hits and three runs (two earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking two.
Varga led Gosnells with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Scaramella, Smith, Varga, and Lee Wisby each collected one hit while Tim Leitch stole two bases with six total in the game. Hawks turned two double plays.
Saupold, Scorer, and Wheeler each drove in one run for South Perth. The team had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game with two apiece by Scorer and Daniel Ivester.
Morley Eagles 22, UWA Magpies 0
Nick Ultsch hit three home runs and drove in 11 as Morley Eagles defeated UWA Magpies 22-0 on Sunday at McGillivray Oval D1. Ultsch homered in the second and third innings.
Morley jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Mitch Graham doubled, scoring one run, Kieren Chapman drew a walk, scoring one run, and Ben Crook was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Next, Matt Dixon drew a bases-loaded walk and Aaron Bonomi doubled, scoring two runs.
Eagles scored eight runs on 10 hits in the top of the second inning. Ultsch hit a solo home run to center field, Bodee Wright singled, scoring two runs, Dixon singled, scoring one run, and Ultsch hit a grand slam to right field.
Morley added three runs in the top of the third on a home run to left field by Ultsch. They tacked on five runs on two hits in the fourth. Dixon singled, scoring one run, Alex Hall drew a walk, scoring one run, and Ultsch doubled, scoring three runs.
Kane Silvi led things off on the hill for Morley. The hurler allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Raleigh Pelkonen, Kieran Hall, and Lochlan Southee each came on in relief and kept it scoreless.
Chris Crawford stepped on the hill first for UWA Magpies. The pitcher surrendered nine hits and 12 runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking four.
Morley tallied 16 hits in the game. Dixon, Graham, Jess Williams, and Wright each collected multiple hits while the team totaled eight walks. Hall and Williams led with two free passes each. The defense was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error as Hall had the most chances with seven.
Henry Kellen and Tyson Edwards each collected one hit for UWA Magpies.
Victoria Park Belmont Reds 7, Perth 2
Victoria Park Belmont was triumphant over Perth 7-2 on Sunday at Inglewood Oval D1. Perth opened scoring in the first after Dylan Bojarski hit a solo home run to center field.
Reds took the lead in the top of the third inning after Perth committed an error and Jack Smalpage doubled to center field, each scoring one run.
Vic Park scored five more runs on two hits in the top of the fourth inning. Josh Cosgrove and Kanta Suzuki were each struck by a pitch with bases loaded before Ben Warrington hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Ryan Boyer singled, scoring two.
Perth scored one run in the bottom of the fourth on a solo home run to right field by Bojarski.
Ryusuke Ito led things off on the mound for Vic Park. The hurler surrendered four hits and two runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking three.
Kaine Newham started on the mound for Perth. The hurler allowed five hits and six runs (four earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out none and walking two.
Boyer drove the middle of the lineup, leading Vic Park with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Ryosei Miyazato and Suzuki each collected two hits.
Bojarski drove the middle of the lineup, leading Perth with two runs batted in on a 3-for-3 day. The defense turned one double play.
Perth 8, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 3
Perth triumphed over Victoria Park Belmont 8-3 on Sunday at Inglewood Oval D1. The winners opened the scoring in the first after Austin Moyle hit a 2-RBI double.
Boston Foot led things off on the hill for Perth. The righty surrendered four hits and three runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking one.
Andrew Hurrelbrink led things off on the bump for Vic Park. The starter surrendered eight hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking three.
Spencer Sarringar threw one inning of shutout ball for Perth in relief. He allowed zero hits, striking out none and walking none.
Perth tallied 10 hits in the game. Moyle provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading with three runs batted in as the third baseman went 2-for-3 on the day. Yuki Maeda, Moyle, Dylan Bojarski, and Sarringar each collected two hits.Hurrelbrink, Jack Smalpage, Ben Warrington, and Ryusuke Ito each collected one hit for Vic Park. Ito went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in while the defense turned one double play.
South Perth Souths 12, Gosnells Hawks 7
South Perth topped Gosnells Hawks 12-7 on Sunday at Collins Oval D1. Hawks were first on the board in the opening frame when Robin Adamson hit a solo home run to left field.
South Perth flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the sixth, scoring 12 runs on seven hits to take the lead, 12-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Daniel Ivester that drove in two.
Luke Mann earned the win for South Perth. The hurler allowed four hits and four runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Starter Carlton Branch surrendered one hit and three runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking four.
Jason Armstrong opened the game for Gosnells. The hurler gave up five hits and four runs over five and one-third innings, striking out two and walking six.
Caleb Scorer tossed two innings of zero-run ball for South Perth in relief. The pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out two and walking three.
South Perth totaled 10 hits in the game. Ivester led with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup as the infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Branch, Joel Vlasic, Scorer, and Caleb Goodwin each collected two hits while Noah Green took four of the team’s ten walks.
Taj Varga led Gosnells with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Leadoff hitter Lee Wisby led with two hits in three at-bats, plus two walks alongside Jarrod McKay (seven total for the team).
