LL – Sun City Thunder (B) closed the gap by scoring on a and a fly out. A ground out by van der Togt put LL – Southern Hills Warriors (A) on the board in the bottom of the first. LL – Sun City Thunder (B) scored on a wild pitch, which helped LL – Sun City Thunder (B) tie the game at one in the top of the second. In the bottom of the second, LL – Southern Hills Warriors (A) broke up the tie when Gay grounded out, scoring one run. Then a single by Carnaby followed to extend the lead to 3-1. Dunne started on the mound for LL – Sun City Thunder (B). The pitcher gave up eight hits and six runs (five earned) over five innings, striking out none and walking none. A walk by Abdul put LL – Coastal Bay Sharks (B) on the board in the top of the first. LL – Southern Titans (A) jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Webster walked, Clampett was struck by a pitch, Morphett walked, Ngoungou walked, Schwarz walked, and Cook walked, each scoring one run. LL – Southern Titans (A) scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the second inning. Carey singled, scoring two runs, Morphett drew a walk, scoring one run, Schwarz drew a walk, scoring one run, and Cook drew a walk, scoring one run. LL – Southern Titans (A) added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when Carey drew a walk, scoring one run, and Mais scored after tagging up. Cook started on the hill for LL – Southern Titans (A). The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out eight and walking four. Kendall drove in five runs on two hits to lead LL – Eastern Phantoms (B) past LL – Wanneroo Giants (A) 8-7 on Sunday at Mateljan PK D1 – NQ1 – SF1: 1st Pool A v 2nd Pool B. Kendall hit a home run to center field in the first inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the third inning, scoring two. LL – Eastern Phantoms (B) built a 7-run lead in the third inning and then held off LL – Wanneroo Giants (A)‘s charge. LL – Wanneroo Giants (A) closed the gap by scoring on a solo home run, a triple, a fly out, a ground out, and an error. LL – Eastern Phantoms (B) opened the scoring in the first after Kendall homered to center field, scoring three runs.
LL – Eastern Phantoms (B) scored five runs on six hits in the top of the third inning. Brewis doubled, scoring two runs, Kendall singled, scoring two runs, and Duckgrounded out, scoring one run. Kendall stepped on the mound first for LL – Eastern Phantoms (B). The pitcher gave up two hits and five runs over four innings, striking out six and walking four. Weppner stepped on the hill first for LL – Wanneroo Giants (A). The starting pitcher surrendered seven hits and seven runs over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Kalin hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the fourth for the LL – Central Firebirds (B). Davies led things off on the hill for LL – Carine Cats (A). The starter surrendered four hits and five runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking two. Krawec started the game for LL – Central Firebirds (B). The starter allowed three hits and zero runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out nine and walking three. Cross, Atherden, Weir, and Travnicek each collected one hit for LL – Carine Cats (A). Kalin and Strain each collected two hits for LL – Central Firebirds (B). Krawec, Kalin, Moffat, and Welten each drove in one run for LL – Central Firebirds (B). LL – Central Firebirds (B) didn’t commit a single error in the field.
