Congratulations to Morley Eagles Baseball Club, winner of the 2024/25 Harcher State League Grand Final!
Morley went undefeated in the postseason, first winning two semi-finals against Perth before facing off against reigning premiers Braves in the grand final, with both games going the Eagles’ way.

Grand Final Game 1: Morley Eagles 12, Braves 2
Ulrich Bojarski drove in four runs on four hits to lead Morley Eagles past Braves 12-2 on Wednesday at Baseball Park. Bojarski singled in the fifth inning, scoring one, and hit a home run to center field in the sixth inning, scoring three runs.
A home run to right field by Jess Williams put Morley on the board in the top of the first.
Kieren Hall started on the hill for Morley. The pitcher gave up six hits and one run over six innings, striking out three and walking three.
Tucker Smith stepped on the hill first for Braves. The pitcher gave up nine hits and five runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking none.
Lachie Waite pitched two innings of no-run ball for Morley in relief. The reliever allowed two hits, striking out one and walking one.
Morley piled up 21 hits in the game, with four apiece for Bojarski and Mitch Graham. Nick Ultsch, Williams, Reece Thompson, and Alex Hall also collected multiple hits. The defense turned one double play, as the Eagles were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Kieran Chapman made the most plays with nine.
Braves totaled 10 hits in the game. Sam Kennelly led with three hits in five at-bats while Daniel Choi and Joel Beches each drove in one run. Tim Kennelly collected two hits in four at-bats.
Grand Final Game 2: Morley Eagles 12, Braves 1
Alex Hall drove in four runs on two hits to lead Morley Eagles past Braves 12-1 on Friday at Baseball Park, Thornlie. Hall doubled in the third inning, scoring one, and hit a home run to left field in the fourth inning, scoring three runs.
Morley scored 10 runs in the fourth inning on the way to victory. Aaron Bonomi doubled, scoring two runs, Reece Thompson doubled, scoring one run, Nick Ultsch singled, scoring one run, Hall homered to left field, scoring three runs, Kieran Chapman drew a walk, scoring one run, Thompson drew a walk, scoring one run, and Matt Dixon drew a walk, scoring one run.
Morley was first to get on board in the third when Hall doubled, scoring one run.
Kane Silvi earned the win for Morley. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out none and walking one.
Matt Kennelly took the loss for Braves. The hurler went three and one-third innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits, striking out four and walking none.
Warwick Saupold pitched one inning of no-run ball for Morley in relief. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out two and walking none.
Morley collected 11 hits in the game. Ultsch and Hall were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits. The team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks while the defense didn’t make a single error in the field. Chapman had the most fielding chances with six.
Lenny Golding went 1-for-1 at the plate and led Braves with one run batted in. Geoff Kerr and Kennelly each collected two hits.
