Perth, Wanneroo, Braves, and Morley make up the top four in Harcher State League standings with just a few weeks to go before the break.

Morley Eagles 3, South Perth Souths 1
Both teams were strong on the hill on Tuesday, but Morley defeated South Perth 3-1.
Eagles got onboard in the first when Ulrich Bojarski drew a walk, scoring one run. Morley added one run in the second after Ben Crook doubled to center field.
Koskei Partington-Hopes earned the win for Morley. The reliever gave up three hits and one run over four innings, striking out six and walking three. Lachie Waite pitched three innings in relief, giving up three hits and zero runs while, striking out two and walking one.
Jake Bowey took the loss for South Perth. The starting pitcher went two innings, surrendering two runs on two hits, striking out five and walking two.
Hall stepped on the bump first for Morley. The right-handed pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking none. Brendan Sing collected the save.
Nick Ultsch led Morley with two hits in four at-bats. Tom Williams and Crook each drove in one run while Matt Dixon led with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Dixon stole two bases.
Morley was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Reece Thompson had the most fielding chances with 11.
Bowey led South Perth with one run batted in. Brett Walters went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits. The defense was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Oliver McMahon had the most chances with 18.
Victoria Park Belmont Reds 8, Perth 6
Victoria Park Belmont topped Perth 8-6 on Friday at Empire Ballpark.
A home run to left field by Ryan Boyer put Reds on the board in the top of the first. Jordano Vivona doubled down the left field line, which helped Perth tie the game at two in the bottom of the first.
A home run to left field by Spencer Sarringar gave Perth the lead, 4-2, in the bottom of the fifth. Perth committed an error, which helped Vic Park tie the game at four in the top of the sixth.
Reds took the lead in the top of the eighth. Taiyo Kurosawa doubled, scoring one run, to give Vic Park the leg up, 5-4.
Logan Warkentin stepped on the mound first for Vic Park. The hurler allowed six hits and four runs (two earned) over eight innings, striking out six and walking five. Darcy Clements appeared in relief.
Jake White stepped on the bump first for Perth. The righty gave up seven hits and four runs (zero earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out three and walking three.
Vic Park accumulated 10 hits in the game, with three apiece for Kurosawa and Warkentin. Kurosawa led with three runs batted in as the infielder went 3-for-5 on the day. Reds had patience at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Joshua Cosgrove and Warkentin led with two free passes each.
Perth accumulated nine hits in the game. Jordon Moore and Sarringar each collected three hits. Vivona and Sarringar both drove in two runs while Jalen McGee collected two hits in five at-bats. Vivona paced Perth with two out of six walks while the defense turned one double play.
Perth 13, South Perth Souths 8
Spencer Sarringar collected three hits in four at-bats, as Perth defeated South Perth 13-8 on Sunday at Collins Oval. Sarringar singled in the third, sixth, and eighth innings.
Perth came back to win despite trailing 8-1 in the second.
An error put Perth on the board in the top of the first before South Perth took a 3-1 lead, 3-1 in the bottom half thanks to home runs by Brett Walters and Jai Hewitt.
South Perth scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. Jaxon Limpus doubled, scoring two runs, Walters singled, scoring two runs, and Caleb Goodwin lined out, scoring one run.
Perth scored five runs on five hits in the top of the sixth inning. Jalen McGee doubled, scoring one run, Dylan Bojarski singled, scoring two runs, Sarringar singled, scoring one run, and Jordon Moore doubled, scoring one run.
McGee doubled to center field following a 6-pitch at-bat, which helped Perth tie the game at eight in the top of the seventh.
A walk by Brady Oliphant gave Perth the lead, 9-8, in the top of the eighth.
Jordano Vivona pitched six innings in relief for Perth. The hurler surrendered three hits and one run while striking out six and walking five.
Riley Oliphant started on the bump for Perth. The left-handed pitcher allowed six hits and seven runs over one inning, striking out one and walking two.
South Perth starter Hewitt surrendered three hits and two runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out four and walking one.
Perth totaled 11 hits in the game. Bojarski and Moore each drove in three runs while McGee collected two hits in four at-bats. Oliphant led the side with four out of 14 walks and two out of six stolen bases.
Perth turned two double plays in the game and didn’t commit a single error in the field. Sarringar had the most fielding chances with eight.
South Perth tallied 11 hits in the game, including three apiece for Walters and Craig Saupold. Walters went 3-for-4 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in. Limpus and Justis Hellegards both collected multiple hits while Kane Cole led with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game.
Limpus and Tysaac Noland each stole multiple bases for South Perth.
Wanneroo Giants 2, Braves 0
Wanneroo Giants defeated Braves 2-0 on Sunday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Zane Morrison, Frazer Brice, and Ethan Cooper each pitched for Wanneroo. Morrison induced a groundout from Sam Kennelly to get the last out.
Both teams were strong on the hill. Wanneroo pitchers struck out seven, while Braves sat down 12.
Giants were first to get on the board in the sixth when Byron Armstrong homered to left field, scoring two runs.
Brice pitched four innings in relief for Wanneroo. The righty gave up one hit and zero runs while striking out four and walking none.
Cooper started on the bump for Giants, giving up zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking three.
Matt Kennelly began the game for Braves. The right-handed pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking none.
Armstrong drove the middle of the lineup, leading Wanneroo with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Daniel Bourke, Armstrong, Adam Barbarich, Nicholas Riley, and Brice each collected one hit as the defense turned one double play.
Kevin Clark went 1-for-4 at the plate to lead Braves in hits.
Morley Eagles 8, Swan Districts Swans 7
It came down to the wire on Sunday at Crimea Park, as Morley Eagles grabbed an 8-7 victory in walk-off fashion over Swan Districts. The game was tied at seven in the bottom of the ninth when Kieran Chapman singled, scoring one run.
Nick Ultsch collected three hits in three at-bats in the win. Ultsch tripled in the first inning, singled in the third, and singled again in the ninth. His triple opened the scoring to start the game.
Swan Districts turned things around in the top of the third, scoring five runs on one hit to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a fielder’s choice by Boston Foot that drove in two.
Ultsch hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Morley tie the game at five in the bottom of the sixth.
Swans made it 7-5 in the top of the eighth after Morley made an error, and Michael De Gasperis singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Morley captured the lead, 8-7, in the bottom of the ninth after Jayson Miller walked, Swans made an error, and Chapman singled to left field, each scoring one run.
Brendan Sing earned the win for Morley. The pitcher allowed two hits and two runs (zero earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking none.
Morley’s Koskei Partington-Hopes pitched five innings in relief, allowing two hits and two runs (zero earned) while striking out five and walking one.
Foot took the loss for Swan Districts. The pitcher went three innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out three and walking three.
Raleigh Pelkonen started on the mound for Morley. The left-handed pitcher surrendered three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out two and walking two.
Dillan Clarkson stepped on the bump first for Swans. The pitcher surrendered eight hits and four runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking four.
Morley collected 12 hits in the game. Chapman and Ultsch each drove in two runs while Ethan Mann collected two hits in four at-bats. Matt Dixon led Morley with three out of seven walks.
Riley Ozanne led Swan Districts with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Landen Barns, Ozanne, and De Gasperis each collected two hits.
UWA Magpies 11, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 5
Tyler Hill hit two home runs and drove in four as UWA Magpies defeated Victoria Park Belmont 11-5 on Sunday at McGillivray Oval, Mt Claremont. Hill homered in the second and eighth innings.
UWA Magpies scored eight runs in the second inning on the way to victory. Joshua Houston doubled, scoring one run, William Eastman singled, scoring one run, Riley Spring homered to right field, scoring three runs, and Hill homered to right field, scoring three runs.
Hill hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the eighth for UWA Magpies.
Riley Hall started on the mound for UWA Magpies, giving up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking four. Nick Alexiou and Kodai Hamaya appeared in relief.
Reds starter Will Shea gave up 12 hits and 11 runs (nine earned) over eight innings, striking out nine and walking two.
UWA Magpies piled up 12 hits in the game. Spring set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading with four hits in five at-bats. Hall collected three hits in five at-bats. Meanwhile, the defense turned one double play.
Reds collected 13 hits in the game. Joshua Greenham drove the middle of the lineup, leading with two runs batted in. The catcher went 1-for-3 on the day. #8 hitter Ben Warrington led the team with four hits in four at-bats. Sean Garratt and Ryan Boyer each collected multiple hits, too.
Carine Cats 6, Gosnells Hawks 1
Carine Cats were victorious against Gosnells Hawks 6-1 on Sunday at Carine Open Space.
Cats got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Gosnells committed an error, Jack Angeloff singled to center field, and Brendan Heath hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Carine added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Cats scored on a wild pitch, and Tim Holmes hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Heath hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the eighth for Carine. Gosnells scored one run in the top of the ninth on a solo home run to left field by Taj Varga on the seventh pitch of the at-bat.
Conor Lourey opened the game for Carine. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out nine and walking two. Lourey threw an immaculate inning in the fifth, striking out the side on nine pitches before Carlos Salas and Elliot Giddens later appeared in relief.
Jason Armstrong stepped on the hill first for Gosnells. The hurler gave up six hits and five runs (four earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking three.
Carine collected nine hits in the game, including two apiece for Angeloff and Heath. Heath went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Cats turned one double play in the game.
Varga led Gosnells Hawks with one run batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Robin Adamson led with two hits in three at-bats. The defense turned one double play.
