Another week of Harcher State League is complete with key wins for Swan Districts, Morley, Wanneroo, Rockingham, and Carine over the weekend.

Swan Districts Swans 3, Braves 2
Both teams were strong on the hill on Saturday, but Swan Districts defeated Braves 3-2. Dillan Clarkson started the game for Swans and recorded 27 outs.
Braves opened scoring in the fifth after Clarkson induced James Smibert to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
Boston Foot singled to center field, which helped Swans tie the game at one in the top of the ninth. A single by Landen Barns gave Swans the lead, 3-1, in the top of the tenth.
Clarkson stepped on the hill first for Swan Districts. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and one run over nine innings, striking out five and walking two.
Matt Kennelly started the game for Braves. The hurler gave up three hits and zero runs over eight innings, striking out 10 and walking two.
Foot tossed one inning of zero-run ball for Swan Districts in relief. The pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out one and walking none.
Barns drove the middle of the lineup, leading Swans with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 2-for-5 on the day. Barns and Cole Snidow were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Swan Districts while hitting back-to-back.
Smibert led Braves with one run batted in. Number eight hitter, Nicholas Davis, showed the depth of their lineup, batting 3-for-3. Braves turned one double play in the game.
Morley Eagles 3, UWA Magpies 1
Morley Eagles defeated UWA Magpies 3-1 on Sunday as Kane Silvi started the game and recorded 18 outs.
Morley opened scoring in the top of the first when Ethan Mann singled, scoring one run.
Silvi started on the mound for Morley Eagles, allowing two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out one and walking one. Lachie Waite, Koskei Partington-Hopes, and Brendan Sing each threw shutout innings in relief.
Kodai Hamaya led things off on the bump for UWA Magpies. The starter allowed eight hits and three runs over six innings, striking out two and walking one.
Morley totaled 10 hits in the game. Kieran Chapman, Matt Dixon, and Nick Ultsch each collected two hits as Chapman led with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-2 on the day.
Eagles turned one double play in the game. Morley was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error as Chapman had the most chances with 13.
Jacob Davila, UWA Magpies’s number seven hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Joshua Houston had one run batted in.
Wanneroo Giants 10, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 3
Daniel Bourke hit two home runs and drove in five as Wanneroo Giants defeated Victoria Park Belmont Reds 10-3 on Sunday at Forster Park, Cloverdale. Bourke homered in the eighth and ninth innings.
Reds got on the board in the first inning after Ryan Boyer doubled, scoring one run. Vic Park added one run in the second on an error, making it 2-0.
Courtney Jones doubled to center field, which helped Wanneroo tie the game at two in the top of the sixth.
Wanneroo flipped the game on its head in the top of the eighth, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 7-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to left field by Bourke that drove in three.
Giants added to their lead with three runs in the top of the ninth inning thanks to home runs by Jones and Bourke.
Zane Morrison stepped on the hill first for Wanneroo. The pitcher allowed five hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking three. Callum Schipp appeared in relief.
Logan Warkentin stepped on the mound first for Reds, giving up five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out 10 and walking two.
Wanneroo collected 13 hits in the game. Bourke, Jones, and Dawson George each collected three hits while the defense turned one double play in the game.
Boyer provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading Reds with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Sean Garratt went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits.
Rockingham Rams 1, Gosnells Hawks 0
Rockingham Rams took Sunday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 1-0 walk-off victory over Gosnells Hawks at Hourglass Reserve, Cooloongup. The game was tied at zero in the bottom of the ninth when Vinnie Tarantola hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Both teams were strong on the bump. Rockingham pitchers struck out 17, while Gosnells sat down 12.
Tarantola earned the win for Rams. The pitcher surrendered four hits and zero runs over nine innings, striking out 17 and walking two.
Ryan Smith took the loss for Gosnells. The reliever went two-thirds of an inning, allowing one run on one hit, striking out none and walking one.
Yuki Narita began the game for Hawks. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over eight innings, striking out 12 and walking two.
Jesse Sequeira, Joshua Diggins, Lachlan Cahill, and Tarantola each collected one hit for Rockingham. Tarantola had one run batted in.
Number eight hitter Brendan Warner showed the depth of Gosnells lineup by leading them with two hits in four at-bats. Hawks turned one double play and they were sure-handed in the field with no errors. David Burgess had the most chances with 13.
Carine Cats 2, Perth 1
Carine Cats prevailed 2-1 over Perth on Sunday. Conor Lourey started the game for Carine and recorded 18 outs.
Cats didn’t take the lead until later in the game. It was tied at one in the top of the eighth when Tarrant Reimers doubled, scoring one run.
Carine got on the board in the fifth inning after Carlos Salas singled, scoring one run.
Jordano Vivona hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Perth tie the game at one in the bottom of the seventh.
Lourey opened the game for Carine. The pitcher allowed four hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out six and walking none.
Christopher St-Pierre stepped on the hill first for Perth. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and one run over seven innings, striking out six and walking one.
Jordan Power threw two innings of shutout ball for Carine in relief. The hurler gave up two hits, striking out two and walking one.
Cats piled up 10 hits in the game. Marcus Strother and Bailey Moorfield each collected two hits while Reimers and Salas each drove in one run. The defense turned three double plays in the game.
Vivona led the team with one run batted in. Joshua McGee led Perth with two hits in four at-bats. The defense turned a double play as well.
