Braves, Perth, Morley, and Wanneroo are hanging on to their top four spots in Harcher State League.
Over the past week, Morley, Perth, South Perth, Vic Park Belmont, Braves, and Carine all picked up key victories.

Morley Eagles 3, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 1
Both teams were strong on the hill on Friday as Morley Eagles defeated Victoria Park Belmont Reds 3-1. Brendan Sing started the game for Morley and recorded nine outs.
A walk by Nathan Dixey put Reds on the board in the top of the third. Eagles took the lead in the bottom half after Alex Hall singled, Jess Williams tripled down the right field line, and Nick Ultsch singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Kieren Hall earned the win for Morley. The right-handed pitcher gave up zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking two.
Logan Warkentin took the loss for Vic Park. The starting pitcher went six innings, surrendering three runs on seven hits, striking out five and walking five.
Sing led things off on the mound for Morley. The starter surrendered three hits and one run over three innings, striking out five and walking one. Kane Silvi and Raleigh Pelkonen each threw scoreless innings for Morley in relief.
Ultsch, Williams, and Hall each drove in one run for Eagles. Williams went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits. Morley turned one double play in the game. Morley didn’t commit a single error in the field as Hall had the most chances with 11.
Curtis Bacon, Joshua Cosgrove, and Matthew Goetzmann each collected one hit for Vic Park. Dixey led the team with one run batted in while turned one double play in the game.
Braves 9, Gosnells Hawks 2
Joel Beches collected three hits in four at-bats, as Braves defeated Gosnells Hawks 9-2 on Sunday at Tom Bateman Reserve, Thornlie. Beches singled in the second and fifth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.
Braves jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Sam Kennelly doubled, scoring two runs, and Josh Kennelly singled, scoring one run.
Robin Adamson hit a solo home run to right field in the bottom of the first for Gosnells. Braves added two runs in the second as James Smibert hit a sacrifice fly, making the score 5-1.
Todd Hatcher opened the game for Braves. The hurler gave up three hits and two runs over six innings, striking out nine and walking one.
Lee Wisby started the game for Gosnells. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and seven runs (five earned) over five innings, striking out none and walking four.
Kennelly tossed three innings of shutout ball for Braves in relief. The pitcher gave up two hits, striking out four and walking two.
Braves totaled 11 hits in the game. Smibert provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Beches stole three bases with five total in the game, plus a double play on defense.
Adamson and Tim Leitch each collected two hits and drove in a run for Gosnells.
Carine Cats 11, UWA Magpies 1
Carine Cats scored seven runs in the sixth inning, which helped them defeat UWA Magpies 11-1 on Sunday at Carine Open Space. An error scored one run, Carlos Salas drew a walk, scoring one run, Conor Lourey singled, scoring two runs, and Brendan Heath singled, scoring two runs.
UWA Magpies got on the board in the fourth inning after Eita Samukawa singled, scoring one run. Jack Angeloff singled down the right field line, which helped Carine tie the game at one in the bottom of the fourth.
Elliot Giddens earned the win for Carine. The right-handed pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking none.
Nick Alexiou took the loss for UWA Magpies. The right-handed pitcher went one-third of an inning, surrendering seven runs (four earned) on four hits, striking out one and walking two.
Tim Holmes led things off on the mound for Carine. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking three.
Kodai Hamaya stepped on the mound first for UWA Magpies. The starter gave up four hits and one run over five innings, striking out eight and walking one.
Tarrant Reimers pitched one inning of shutout ball for Carine in relief. The right-handed pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out two and walking none.
Carine tallied 12 hits in the game. Lourey led Cats with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 2-for-2 on the day. Marcus Strother went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the way in hits. Salas and Heath each collected multiple hits.
Samukawa and Tyler Hill each collected one hit for UWA Magpies.
Perth 6, Wanneroo Giants 5
Perth were triumphant over Wanneroo Giants 6-5 on Sunday at Mateljan Park, Madeley.
Perth got on the board in the top of the third inning after Benjamin Nesbit grounded into a fielder’s choice, and Wanneroo committed an error, each scoring one run.
Wanneroo took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Daniel Bourke homered to left field, scoring three runs, to give them a 3-2 edge.
Perth captured the lead, 5-3, in the top of the fifth when Jalen McGee singled, scoring two runs, and Spencer Sarringar doubled, scoring one run.
Henry Schineller hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the fifth for Wanneroo.
Jake White started the game for Perth. The pitcher allowed four hits and four runs over five innings, striking out one and walking five.
Zane Morrison opened the game for Wanneroo. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and six runs (four earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking four. Brayden Moyle appeared in relief for Perth.
McGee provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading Perth with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Sarringar and Joshua McGee each collected two hits while the sure-handed defense didn’t commit a single error. Dylan Bojarski made the most plays with seven.
Bourke led Wanneroo with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The right fielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Quinn Fatai and Schineller each collected two hits while Nicholas Riley paced the team with three out of seven walks. The defense turned one double play.
Perth 14, Wanneroo Giants 9
Dylan Bojarski drove in four runs on two hits to lead Perth past Wanneroo Giants 14-9 on Sunday at Mateljan Park, Madeley. Bojarski hit a home run to left field in the sixth inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the fifth inning, scoring one.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Perth collected 14 hits and Wanneroo nine in the high-scoring affair.
Perth opened the scoring in the fourth after Jordano Vivona doubled, scoring two runs.
Nicholas Riley hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the fourth for Wanneroo.
Perth added six more runs in the top of the sixth inning on six hits. Benjamin Nesbit singled, scoring one run, Joshua McGee doubled, scoring two runs, Jalen McGee singled, scoring one run, and Bojarski homered to left field, scoring two runs.
Wanneroo scored eight runs on four hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Henry Schineller homered to left field, scoring two runs, Quinn Fatai drew a walk, scoring one run, Adam Barbarich tripled, scoring three runs, and Byron Armstrong homered to left field, scoring two runs.
Perth flipped the game on its head in the top of the eighth, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 14-9. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Spencer Sarringar that drove in two.
Christopher St-Pierre started the game for Perth. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and four runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking two.
Callum Schipp started the game for Wanneroo, giving up two hits and two runs over four innings, striking out two and walking three.
Sarringar tossed two and one-third innings of no-run ball for Perth in relief. The hurler allowed two hits, striking out one and walking none.
Perth tallied 14 hits in the game. Number seven hitter, Vivona, showed the depth of Perth’s lineup by leading them with three hits in five at-bats. Sarringar, McGee, and Nesbit each collected multiple hits while the defense turned three double plays in the game.
Wanneroo collected nine hits in the game, with two apiece for Daniel Stephenson and Schineller. Barbarich went 1-for-5 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. The defense turned one double play in the game and they were sure-handed with no errors. Schineller made the most plays with 11.
South Perth 11, Swan Districts Swans 1
Jake Bowey drove in four runs on one hit to lead South Perth past Swan Districts 11-1 on Sunday at Collins Oval, Como. Bowey hit a home run to center field in the first inning, scoring three runs, and walked in the fifth inning, scoring one.
A home run to center field by Bowey put South Perth on the board in the bottom of the first.
A ground out by Brett Walters extended the South Perth lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the second inning.
Three more South Perth runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 7-1. Walters homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Jai Hewitt hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Tysaac Noland earned the win for South Perth. The reliever surrendered one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking two.
Boston Foot took the loss for Swan Districts. The starter went four innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking three.
Hewitt led things off on the hill for South Perth. The pitcher allowed one hit and one run over four innings, striking out seven and walking five.
South Perth tallied 10 hits in the game. Joel Vlasic, South Perth’s number eight hitter, led the team with three hits in three at-bats. Walters collected two hits in four at-bats and Jaxon Limpus stole two bases. The defense turned one double play in the game.
Landen Barns and Michael De Gasperis each collected one hit for Swan Districts. Riley Ozanne led Swans with one run batted in. They had patience at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Brody Clarkson and Cole Snidow led the team with two bases on balls each.
South Perth 8, Swan Districts Swans 7
Jake Bowey struck out 10 batters as the hurler led South Perth past Swan Districts 8-7 on Sunday at Collins Oval, Como. Bowey allowed six hits and three runs over five innings while walking two.
South Perth didn’t take the lead until later in the game. They were down 7-6 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Jai Hewitt singled, scoring two runs.
Swan Districts opened the scoring in the first after Landen Barns singled, scoring one run. South Perth took the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the second thanks to singles by Caleb Goodwin and Jaxon Limpus.
Barns singled to right field, which helped Swans tie the game at two in the top of the third.
South Perth took the lead in the bottom of the third. Justis Hellegards homered to left field, scoring two runs, to give South Perth the edge, 4-2.
Cole Snidow hit a solo home run to right field in the top of the fifth for Swans. Oliver McMahon homered to left field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the fifth for South Perth.
Swan Districts captured the lead, 7-6, in the top of the sixth when Riley Ozanne hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Michael De Gasperis homered to left field, scoring three runs.
Josh Dass earned the win for South Perth. The pitcher gave up four hits and four runs over one inning, striking out two and walking one.
Jackson Stivey took the loss for Swan Districts. The hurler went one inning, surrendering two runs on one hit, striking out one and walking three.
Dillan Clarkson led things off on the bump for Swan Districts. The southpaw surrendered 11 hits and six runs over five innings, striking out four and walking four.
Tysaac Noland threw one inning of no-run ball for South Perth in relief. The pitcher surrendered zero hits, striking out one and walking none.
South Perth totaled 12 hits in the game. Hewitt, Bowey, Limpus, McMahon, and Hellegards each collected two hits. Hewitt, McMahon, and Hellegards each drove in two runs. Noland led with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks total.
Swan Districts tallied 10 hits in the game, with two apiece for Barns and De Gasperis, who led with three runs batted in. The shortstop went 2-for-4 on the day. Swans turned two double plays in the game and didn’t commit a single error in the field, as Barns had the most chances with seven.
Victoria Park Belmont Reds 4, Rockingham Rams 3
Victoria Park Belmont Reds beat Rockingham Rams 4-3 on Sunday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the seventh when Ryan Boyer singled, scoring one run.
Rockingham was first to get on the board in the opening frame when Jesse Sequeira singled, scoring one run.
Logan Warkentin homered to left field, which helped Vic Park tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
Rams captured the lead, 3-1, in the top of the third after Chris Proctor doubled down the right field line, and Stuart Sara singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Cody Van Der Graaf doubled to center field, which helped Reds tie the game at three in the bottom of the fifth.
Mathew Martin earned the win for Vic Park. The hurler allowed nine hits and three runs over nine innings, striking out six and walking none.
Vinnie Tarantola took the loss for Rockingham. The pitcher went three innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out two and walking one. Kodai Kombara opened the game for Rams, giving up six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out two and walking one.
Reds piled up 11 hits in the game. Number seven hitter Curtis Bacon showed the depth of the lineup by leading them with three hits in four at-bats. Ben Warrington collected two hits in four at-bats.
Vic Park turned one double play in the game and didn’t commit a single error in the field. Warkentin had the most fielding chances with 12.
Rockingham tallied nine hits in the game. Sequeira and Lachlan Cahill each collected two hits as Sequeira, Sara, and Proctor each drove in one run. Rams turned three double plays.
