Braves, Morley, Wanneroo, Perth, Rockingham, and UWA Magpies won big in Week 21 of Harcher State League.

Braves 4, UWA Magpies 0
Braves were victorious against UWA Magpies 4-0 on Friday at Baseball Park, Thornlie.
Braves got on the board in the top of the first inning after Tim Kennelly singled, scoring two runs, Lenny Golding singled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run.
Tucker Smith led things off on the bump for Braves. The pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking none.
Nick Alexiou stepped on the mound first for UWA Magpies. The right-handed pitcher gave up seven hits and four runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out nine and walking two.
Kennelly provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Braves with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day.
Alexiou, the number seven hitter, led UWA Magpies with two hits in three at-bats.
Braves 2, Carine Cats 0
Braves defeated Carine Cats 2-0 on Sunday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Todd Hatcher and Matt Kennelly each pitched for Braves in the game. Hatcher induced a fly out from Tarrant Reimers to get the last out.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Braves pitchers struck out 11, while Carine sat down five.
Braves got on the board in the third inning after James Smibert hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Kennelly earned the win for Braves. The righty gave up two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking none.
Conor Lourey started the game for Carine. The pitcher allowed seven hits and two runs (one earned) over eight innings, striking out five and walking one.
Hatcher tossed two innings of no-run ball for Braves in relief. The pitcher allowed two hits, striking out four and walking none.
Daniel Choi, Braves number nine hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Smibert and Josh Kennelly each drove in one run while the defense didn’t commit a single error in the field. Sam Kennelly had the most fielding chances with 13.
Lourey, Thomas Summers, Brendan Heath, and Marcus Strother each collected one hit for Carine.
Morley Eagles 10, South Perth Souths 8
There were runs aplenty on Sunday at Crimea Park as Morley Eagles outshone South Perth 10-8. Morley collected 11 hits, while South Perth had 11.
South Perth opened scoring in the second after Caleb Goodwin singled, scoring one run.
Morley captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the second after Ulrich Bojarski homered to left field, and Reece Thompson hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
A grand slam to left field by Jai Hewitt gave South Perth the lead, 5-2, in the top of the third.
Morley tied the game up in the bottom of the fourth, making it 5-5 on a fielder’s choice by Mitch Graham.
Eagles flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 10-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Thompson that drove in two.
Despite falling down by five runs in the fifth inning, South Perth tried to fight back. They closed the gap by scoring on a single and a home run.
Kane Silvi stepped on the hill first for Morley. The starter surrendered six hits and five runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Lachie Waite appeared in relief.
Hewitt started the game for South Perth. The pitcher allowed seven hits and five runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out one and walking three.
Morley totaled 11 hits in the game. Thompson led with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The catcher went 1-for-1 on the day. Aaron Bonomi went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the side in hits.
Bojarski and Alex Hall each collected multiple hits for Morley while Bonomi stole two bases. Eagles ran wild on the base paths, amassing five stolen bases for the game. The defense turned one double play, too.
South Perth tallied 11 hits in the game. Hewitt drove the middle of the lineup, leading with four runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Jake Bowey went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead South Perth in hits. Goodwin, Tysaac Noland, and Brett Walters each collected multiple hits.
Morley Eagles 10, South Perth Souths 0
Morley Eagles won big over South Perth 10-0 on Sunday at Crimea Park, Morley. Eagles got on the board in the second inning after Kieran Chapman singled, scoring one run.
A sacrifice fly by Ulrich Bojarski and a single by Chapman helped Morley extend their early lead in the third.
Mitch Graham homered to left field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth for Morley.
Kieren Hall earned the win for Eagles. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking none.
Tysaac Noland took the loss for South Perth. The starter went three and one-third innings, surrendering four runs on six hits, striking out two and walking two.
Morley accumulated 11 hits in the game. Chapman led with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The infielder went 3-for-3 on the day. Alex Hall and Graham each collected multiple hits while the defense didn’t commit a single error in the field. Hall had the most fielding chances with eight.
Perth 7, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 0
Dylan Bojarski collected three hits in four at-bats, as Perth defeated Victoria Park Belmont 7-0 on Sunday at Forster Park, Cloverdale. Bojarski tripled in the first inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the seventh inning.
Perth got on the board in the top of the first inning after Bojarski tripled down the right field line, scoring one run.
Jake White stepped on the hill first for Perth. The righty surrendered five hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out five and walking two.
Logan Warkentin led things off on the mound for Vic Park. The hurler gave up five hits and four runs (three earned) over six innings, striking out two and walking three.
Travis McDonald pitched one inning of no-run ball for Perth in relief. The pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out none and walking one.
Perth tallied nine hits in the game. Jalen McGee collected two hits in three at-bats. Meanwhile, the defense turned one double play.
Curtis Bacon, Ben Warrington, Joshua Cosgrove, Warkentin, and Matthew Goetzmann each collected one hit for Reds.
Perth 12, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 2
Spencer Sarringar collected three hits in four at-bats, as Perth defeated Victoria Park Belmont 12-2 on Sunday at Forster Park, Cloverdale. Sarringar singled in the first inning, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the sixth.
Perth opened scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. They first got on the board when Sarringar singled, scoring one run.
Perth extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by Jordano Vivona and Brayden Moyle.
Perth scored six runs on five hits in the top of the sixth inning. Austin Moyle singled, scoring one run, Vivona doubled, scoring two runs, Moyle singled, scoring two runs, and Riley Oliphant tripled, scoring one run.
Cruze Brendon started the game for Perth. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking three.
Mathew Martin stepped on the hill first for Vic Park. The hurler allowed 10 hits and 11 runs (10 earned) over five innings, striking out three and walking four.
Vivona pitched one inning of shutout ball for Perth in relief. The right-handed pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out three and walking one.
Perth tallied 12 hits in the game. Vivona and Moyle each drove in three runs. Moyle collected two hits in four at-bats. Sarringar stole two bases.
Perth were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Sarringar had the most chances in the field with seven.
Ben Warrington and Logan Warkentin each collected one hit and one RBI for Reds. The team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game.
Wanneroo Giants 4, Rockingham Rams 2
Wanneroo Giants were victorious against Rockingham Rams 4-2 on Sunday at Hourglass Reserve D1.
Wanneroo got on board in the top of the first inning after Adam Barbarich singled down the left field line, and Byron Armstrong doubled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
A single by Ethan Cooper extended the Wanneroo lead to 3-0 in the top of the second inning.
Frazer Brice earned the win for Wanneroo. The right-handed pitcher allowed four hits and one run over three innings, striking out three and walking two.
Kodai Kombara took the loss for Rockingham. The pitcher went seven innings, surrendering four runs on 12 hits, striking out eight and walking none.
Tom Bailey started on the bump for Wanneroo. The hurler allowed two hits and one run over three innings, striking out one and walking two. Zane Morrison collected the save.
Wanneroo piled up 12 hits in the game. Quinn Fatai, the number eight hitter, led with three hits in three at-bats. Henry Schineller, Armstrong, Barbarich, and Cooper each drove in one run while the defense was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Schineller had the most fielding chances with 12.
Lachlan Cahill led Rockingham with one run batted in. The infielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Sam Sheppard, number seven hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Rams turned one double play in the game and didn’t commit a single error as Chris Proctor made the most plays with eight.
Rockingham Rams 3, Wanneroo Giants 1
Both teams were strong on the hill on Sunday, but Rockingham Rams defeated Wanneroo Giants 3-1. Vinnie Tarantola started the game for Rockingham and recorded 21 outs.
Rams got on the board in the first inning after Chris Proctor hit a solo home run to right field.
Rockingham added one run in the second. Jake Sheppard singled down the right field line, making the score 2-0. They added one in the bottom of the fourth on a solo home run to center field by Jesse Sequeira.
Tarantola earned the win for Rockingham. The left-handed pitcher surrendered seven hits and one run over seven innings, striking out seven and walking two.
Zane Morrison took the loss for Wanneroo. The starter went one inning, surrendering one run on one hit, striking out two and walking none.
Sequeira and Tarantola were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Rockingham while hitting back-to-back. Sheppard, Sequeira, and Proctor each drove in one run for Rams while the defense turned one double play in the game. They were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error as Sheppard made the most plays with nine.
Henry Schineller led Wanneroo with one run batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Daniel Bourke and Schineller each collected two hits and the defense didn’t commit a single error in the field. Daniel Stephenson had the most fielding chances with 10
UWA Magpies 14, Gosnells Hawks 1
Eita Samukawa collected four hits in four at-bats, as UWA Magpies defeated Gosnells Hawks 14-1 on Sunday at McGillivray Oval, Mt Claremont. Samukawa hit a home run to center field in the sixth, doubled in the third, and singled in the first and sixth innings.
UWA Magpies scored nine runs in the sixth inning on the way to victory. Samukawa homered to center field, scoring three runs, Nick Alexiou doubled, scoring two runs, Joris Van Ballegooy singled, scoring one run, Joshua Houston doubled, scoring one run, and Henry Kellen doubled, scoring two runs.
Gosnells were the first to get on the board in the fourth when Robin Adamson hit a solo home run to center field.
UWA Magpies captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the fourth after Madoka Honjo doubled to center field, and Van Ballegooy singled to right field, each scoring one run.
Three more UWA Magpies runs crossed the plate in the fifth inning to extend the lead to 5-1. Riley Spring homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Alexiou grounded out, scoring one run.
Riley Hall stepped on the hill first for UWA Magpies. The hurler gave up three hits and one run over five and one-third innings, striking out four and walking four.
Yuki Narita began the game for Gosnells. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and five runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking three.
Kodai Hamaya tossed one and two-thirds innings of no-run ball for UWA Magpies in relief. The left-handed pitcher surrendered zero hits, striking out three and walking none.
UWA Magpies piled up 12 hits in the game. Van Ballegooy collected two hits in three at-bats. Hall paced the team with three out of six walks while Samukawa stole two bases with four total in the game. The defense turned two double plays.
Adamson went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Gosnells turned one double play in the game.
