Although some Harcher State League games were called off due to this weekend’s weather, there were three big games with victories for Wanneroo, Rockingham, and Braves.
Braves, Morley, Wanneroo, and Perth make up the top four heading into the final weekend before the break.

Wanneroo Giants 13, Swan Districts Swans 0
Jacob Santich drove in four runs on four hits to lead Wanneroo Giants past Swan Districts 13-0 on Friday at Baseball Park. Santich doubled in the first and singled in the next three innings.
Tom Bailey struck out 10 batters on the day. The righty also gave up three hits and zero runs over five innings while walking two.
Wanneroo got on board in the bottom of the first inning after Santich doubled down the left field line, and Swans made an error, each scoring one run.
Giants scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the second inning. Byron Armstrong tripled, scoring two runs, Santich singled, scoring one run, Daniel Stephenson singled, scoring one run, and Harry Wooden singled, scoring two runs.
A single by Santich and a groundout by Cooper Barber helped Wanneroo extend their early lead in the third.
Dillan Clarkson took the loss for Swan Districts. The starting pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering eight runs (one earned) on seven hits, striking out one and walking three.
Wanneroo tallied 10 hits in the game. Adam Barbarich and Armstrong each collected multiple hits while the defense didn’t commit a single error in the field. Stephenson had the most chances with 10.
Kye Varrone, Brody Clarkson, and Taiyo Kurosawa each collected one hit for Swan Districts.
Rockingham Rams 6, Swan Districts Swans 3
Isaac Keehn struck out 13 batters as the hurler led Rockingham Rams past Swan Districts 6-3 on Sunday at Hourglass Reserve D1. Keehn surrendered two hits and three runs over eight innings while walking one.
Swan Districts got on board in the top of the first inning after Anthony Daniele singled down the left field line, Riley Ozanne was struck by a pitch, and Joshua Dowling grounded out, each scoring one run.
Joshua Diggins doubled to center field, which helped Rockingham tie the game at three in the bottom of the sixth. It was the eighth when Diggins singled, scoring one run to break up the tie. Then a single by Vincent Tarantola followed to extend the lead to 6-3.
Kye Varrone took the loss for Swan Districts. The hurler went one inning, allowing three runs on two hits, striking out none and walking three. Sean Means led things off on the bump, giving up six hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking two.=
Tarantola collected the save for Rockingham.
Diggins and Tarantola each collected two hits with two runs batted in for Rockingham.
Daniele and Taiyo Kurosawa each collected one hit for Swans while Ozanne, Daniele, and Dowling each drove in one run.
Braves 6, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 4
Braves were victorious against Victoria Park Belmont Reds 6-4 on Sunday at Forster Park D1.
Vic Park got on board in the bottom of the fifth inning after Jack Smalpage walked and Joshua Greenham hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Yuto Okamura singled down the left field line, which helped Braves tie the game at two in the top of the sixth. They broke up the tie in the seventh when Geoff Kerr drew a walk, scoring one run. Then a wild pitch followed to extend the lead to 4-2.
Josh Kennelly opened the game for Braves. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking two. Joel Beches, Kerr, Kevin Clark, Lenny Golding, and Okamura each threw shutout innings in relief.
Andrew Hurrelbrink started on the mound for Vic Park, giving up two hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out eight and walking one.
Beches and Okamura were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Braves. Okamura led with one run batted in as the infielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Liam Collins had three of the team’s five stolen bases. Meanwhile, the defense turned one double play and didn’t make any errors as Daniel Choi had the most plays with seven.
Ryan Boyer and Greenham were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Reds. Leadoff hitter Kanta Suzuki led with three hits in five at-bats while Ben Warrington had four of the team’s 14 walks. Suzuki stole two bases with five overall for Vic Park. The defense turned one double play, too.
