Perth, Wanneroo, Morley, Swan Districts, South Perth, Braves, and Vic Park Belmont came away with big victories in the latest round of Harcher State League.
Morley, Perth, Braves, Wanneroo, and Carine make up the top five with just two weeks to go until finals.

Perth 10, Swan Districts Swans 0
Perth defeated Swan Districts 10-0 on Tuesday at Baseball Park thanks in part to six runs in the fifth inning. Spencer Sarringar singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Ben Nesbit homered to left field, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.
Perth got on board in the bottom of the third inning after Josh McGee doubled to center field, and Dylan Bojarski singled to left field, each scoring one run.
Boston Foot earned the win for Perth. The starter surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking none.
Kye Varrone took the loss for Swan Districts. The hurler went four and two-thirds innings, giving up seven runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking three.
Jake White tossed one inning of no-run ball for Perth in relief. The righty gave up one hit, striking out one and walking two.
Perth accumulated nine hits in the game. McGee and Sarringar both collected two hits while Nesbit and Sarringar each drove in two runs. The defense didn’t commit a single error in the field as Sarringar had the most chances with eight.
Eric Webb, Nick Hoyt, Brody Clarkson, and Taiyo Kurosawa each collected one hit for Swan Districts.
Wanneroo Giants 9, South Perth Souths 3
Wanneroo Giants easily dispatched South Perth on Wednesday at Baseball Park, 9-3. Giants got on board in the first after Xavier Fatai was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.
Wanneroo added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Adam Barbarich singled to center field, Cooper Barber flew out, and Maxim Fullerton singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Frazer Brice earned the win for Wanneroo. The right-handed pitcher gave up three hits and three runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking one.
Dylan Bowker took the loss for South Perth. The pitcher went three innings, surrendering four runs on three hits, striking out two and walking four.
Dylan Bandy started on the bump for Wanneroo. The hurler allowed three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking one.
Fullerton and Jacob Santich were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Wanneroo while hitting back-to-back. Santich provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading Giants with three runs batted in as the cleanup hitter went 2-for-5 on the day. Harry Wooden had three of the team’s eight walks. Fullerton and Barber each stole multiple bases with eight overall in the game.
Caleb Scorer and Caleb Goodwin were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for South Perth. Max Wheeler collected two hits in three at-bats. The defense turned one double play.
Morley Eagles 4, Braves 2
Morley Eagles took down Braves 4-2 on Friday at Baseball Park. Braves got on board in the top of the first inning after an error and a sacrifice fly by Jake Bowey, each scoring one run.
Morley jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning after Braves committed an error, Bodee Wright singled to right field, Jess Williams hit a sacrifice fly, and Kieren Chapman singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
Kane Silvi earned the win for Morley. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking two.
Todd Hatcher took the loss for Braves. The pitcher went six innings, allowing four runs (one earned) on three hits, striking out seven and walking two.
Chapman, Wright, and Nick Ultsch each collected one hit for Morley. Chapman, Williams, Wright, and Ultsch each drove in one run.
Kevin Clark led Braves with two hits in three at-bats. Ben Drew and Bowey each drove in one run.
Swan Districts Swans 14, UWA Magpies 0
Brody Clarkson hit three home runs and drove in six as Swan Districts defeated UWA Magpies 14-0 on Sunday at McGillivray Oval D1. Clarkson homered in the first, sixth, and seventh innings.
Dillan Clarkson threw seven innings on the way to a shutout with seven strikeouts.
Swans were first to get on the board with Clarkson’s two-run home run to right field. They added to their early lead in the top of the second after Riley Ozanne singled to center field, and Anthony Daniele doubled down the right field line, each scoring two runs.
Jackson Pollard hit a solo home run to right field in the top of the third, followed by another solo shot to center field for Clarkson in the sixth.
Five more Swans runs crossed the plate in the seventh inning to extend the lead to 14-0. Ozanne and Daniele both singled, scoring one run, and Clarkson homered to right field, scoring three runs.
Chris Crawford stepped on the hill first for UWA Magpies. The right-handed pitcher allowed five hits and seven runs over three innings, striking out four and walking five.
Swan Districts piled up 11 hits in the game. Daniele, Ozanne, and Jackson Stivey each collected multiple hits while Taiyo Kurosawa led with three of the team’s six walks. The defense made a double play and was sure-handed in the field with no errors. Nick Hoyt had the most fielding chances with seven.
Marcus Brown, Jaden Babiuk, Joshua Houston, and Tyson Edwards each collected one hit for UWA Magpies.
South Perth Souths 13, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 12
Bats were blistered as South Perth bested Victoria Park Belmont Reds 13-12 on Sunday at Forster Park D1. South Perth collected 11 hits, while Vic Park had 12.
South Perth built an 11-run lead in the first inning and then held off Vic Park’s charge. Reds closed the gap by scoring on a fielder’s choice, a walk, and six singles.
South Perth jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Caleb Goodwin doubled, scoring two runs. Craig Saupold, Alex Clark, and Oliver McMahon hit RBI singles before a bases-loaded walk to Luke Mann. Joel Vlasic singled, scoring one run and Callum Hurrelbrink induced Max Wheeler to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored. Next, Caleb Scorer hit an RBI single and Hurrelbrink induced Saupold to hit into a fielder’s choice, but two runs scored.
Vic Park scored seven runs on four hits in the bottom of the first inning. Oliver Humphreys induced Ryan Boyer to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Joshua Greenham singled, scoring two runs, and Ryosei Miyazato drew a walk, scoring one run. Ryusuke Ito singled, scoring two runs, and Kanta Suzuki singled, scoring one run.
South Perth added two runs in the second. Scorer doubled down the right field line, making the score 13-7.
Mann pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for South Perth. The hurler surrendered seven hits and two runs while striking out two and walking one.
Humphreys stepped on the mound first for South Perth. The hurler surrendered two hits and six runs over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking four.
South Perth collected 11 hits in the game. Vlasic, Scorer, Goodwin, and Wheeler each collected two hits while Scorer and Saupold each drove in three runs. The team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game as Carlton Branch and McMahon led with two walks each. The defense turned one double play.
Reds piled up 12 hits in the game. Ito led with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup, going 2-for-3 on the day.
Greenham, Ben Warrington, Miyazato, and Ito each collected two hits for Vic Park. Andrew Hurrelbrink and Miyazato each stole multiple bases with seven overall, plus eight walks for the team. The defense turned one double play, too.
Braves 12, Gosnells Hawks 5
Braves defeated Gosnells Hawks 12-5 on Sunday at Tom Bateman Reserve D1. The winners got on board in the top of the second after Jack Rigden laid down a sacrifice bunt and Lenny Golding grounded out, each scoring one run.
A single by Yuto Okamura extended the Braves lead to 4-1 in the top of the third.
Four more Braves runs crossed the plate in the ninth inning to extend the lead to 12-4. Jake Bowey homered to right field, scoring two runs, Daniel Choi doubled, scoring one run, and Matt Kennelly singled, scoring another.
Louis Scaramella hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the ninth for Gosnells Hawks.
Kennelly began the game for Braves. The starter surrendered seven hits and four runs (zero earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking none.
Jason Armstrong led things off on the mound for Gosnells. The hurler surrendered five hits and five runs (three earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking four.
Tucker Smith pitched two and one-third innings of zero-run ball for Braves in relief. He allowed zero hits, striking out five and walking none.
Braves totaled 16 hits in the game. Kevin Clark, Okamura, and Kennelly each collected three hits while Bowey, Okamura, and Kennelly drove in two runs apiece. Joel Beches and Choi each collected multiple hits.
Gosnells piled up nine hits in the game. Tim Leitch and Lee Wisby each collected three hits while Scaramella and Jordan Trainer each drove in one run.
Perth 4, Carine Cats 2
Perth bested Carine Cats 4-2 on Sunday at Tindale Park D1. Perth got on board in the third inning after Josh McGee singled, scoring one run.
Brendan Heath doubled to center field, which helped Carine tie the game at one in the bottom of the fourth. Perth took the lead in the top of the sixth when Jalen McGee drew a walk, scoring one run, to make it 2-1.
Kamil Pejchat singled to left field, which helped Carine tie the game at two in the bottom of the sixth. Perth regained the lead in the ninth, scoring on an error and a bases-loaded walk to Ben Nesbit.
Jai Hewitt opened the game for Perth. The hurler surrendered two hits and one run over five innings, striking out eight and walking two.
Conor Lourey stepped on the mound first for Carine. The hurler surrendered six hits and two runs over six innings, striking out five and walking three.
Boston Foot threw three and two-thirds innings of shutout ball for Perth in relief. The hurler gave up one hit, striking out three and walking one.
McGee and McGee were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Perth. Dylan Bojarski and Riley Oliphant collected multiple hits.
Heath, Cooper McDonnell, Cameran Brantley, and Pejchat each collected one hit for Carine. Heath and Pejchat were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run.
Swan Districts Swans 6, UWA Magpies 3
Brody Clarkson collected three hits in four at-bats, as Swan Districts defeated UWA Magpies 6-3 on Sunday at McGillivray Oval D1. Clarkson singled in the first and second innings and doubled in the fourth.
Swan Districts got on board in the top of the first inning after Riley Ozanne doubled down the right field line, Clarkson singled down the right field line, Eric Webb grounded out, and Rowan Edmunds singled to left field, each scoring one run.
Swans added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Clarkson singled down the right field line, and Nick Hoyt walked, each scoring one run.
UWA Magpies scored one run in the bottom of the seventh on a solo home run to center field by Riley Spring.
Kye Varrone opened the game for Swan Districts. The hurler surrendered 11 hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking two.
Kyle Poapst started on the hill for UWA Magpies. The right-handed pitcher allowed eight hits and six runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking four.
Taiyo Kurosawa collected two hits for Swans in four at-bats. Anthony Daniele paced the team with three out of six walks.
UWA Magpies totaled 11 hits in the game. Jaden Babiuk, Spring, James Bull, and Michael Albertini each collected two hits. Poapst, Spring, and Albertini each drove in one run. The defense was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error as Babiuk had the most chances with 12.
Victoria Park Belmont Reds 5, South Perth Souths 2
Victoria Park Belmont Reds were triumphant over South Perth 5-2 on Sunday at Forster Park D1.
A single by Caleb Goodwin on a full count put South Perth on board in the top of the first. Jack Smalpage hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Reds tie the game at one in the bottom of the third.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Vic Park went back into the lead after Kanta Suzuki homered to center field, Ryan Boyer flew out, and Joshua Greenham doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Andrew Hurrelbrink began the game for Vic Park. The pitcher gave up four hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking one. Suzuki pitched one inning of no-run ball in relief, allowing zero hits, striking out one and walking one.
Joel Vlasic led things off on the bump for South Perth. The hurler allowed six hits and three runs over four and one-third innings, striking out none and walking two.
Number seven hitter William Truscott showed the depth of Vic Park’s lineup by leading them with three hits in three at-bats. Greenham, Smalpage, and Suzuki each drove in one run.
Carlton Branch and Goodwin each drove in one run for South Perth. Goodwin led with two hits in three at-bats. The defense was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error as Luke Mann had the most chances with four.
Wanneroo Giants 2, Rockingham Rams 1
Wanneroo Giants beat Rockingham Rams 2-1 on Sunday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the sixth when Jacob Santich singled, scoring one run.
Both teams were strong on the hill. Wanneroo pitchers struck out five, while Rockingham sat down eight.
Giants were first on the board in the fourth when Santich singled, scoring one run.
Joshua Diggins grounded into a fielder’s choice, which helped Rockingham tie the game at one in the top of the sixth.
Tal Tardrew earned the win for Wanneroo. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and one run over six innings, striking out four and walking one.
Isaac Keehn took the loss for Rockingham. The hurler went six innings, giving up two runs on six hits, striking out eight and walking one. Tom Bailey collected the save.
Santich provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading Wanneroo with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Santich, Cooper Barber, and Chayce Benseman each collected two hits while the defense turned two double plays in the game.
Yosuke Fujie, Vincent Tarantola, and Tyler Hill each collected one hit for Rockingham. Diggins led with one run batted in as the Rams were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Tarantola made the most plays with 10.
