Just a few weeks to go in Harcher State League before the Christmas break as Braves, Morley, Carine, Perth, and Wanneroo lead the way in the standings.

Swan Districts Swans 3, Victoria Park Belmont Reds 0
Sean Means shut down Victoria Park Belmont, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Swan Districts to a 3-0 victory on Friday at Baseball Park.
Both teams were strong on the mound. Swans pitchers struck out five, while Reds sat down seven.
Swan Districts opened scoring in the first after Michael De Gasperis drew a bases-loaded walk.
Callum Hurrelbrink stepped on the hill first for Vic Park. The hurler allowed four hits and two runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking three.
Anthony Daniele led Swan Districts with two hits in four at-bats. Nick Hoyt and Jackson Stivey each drove in one run while the defense didn’t commit a single error in the field. Brody Clarkson had the most fielding chances with eight.
Joshua Greenham and Ben Warrington each collected one hit for Vic Park.
Carine Cats 8, Perth 3
Cooper McDonnell collected three hits in four at-bats as Carine Cats defeated Perth 8-3 on Sunday at Inglewood Oval D1. McDonnell singled in the first, fifth, and seventh innings.
Cats got on board in the top of the first inning after Cameran Brantley singled down the right field line, and Timothy Holmes hit into a fielder’s choice, each scoring one run.
Perth made the score 3-2 in the bottom of the first after Dylan Bojarski singled, scoring two runs, and Austin Moyle hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Lucas Nelson doubled to center field, which helped Carine tie the game at three in the top of the third.
Cats flipped the game on its head in the top of the seventh, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 8-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Holmes following a 7-pitch at-bat that drove in two.
Conor Lourey stepped on the mound first for Carine. The starter surrendered four hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out six and walking four.
Jake White began the game for Perth. The starter surrendered six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out two and walking two.
Carine totaled 10 hits in the game. Holmes drove the middle of the lineup, leading with three runs batted in as the infielder went 1-for-4 on the day. The team totaled six walks with two apiece for Brantley and Oliver Wilkinson. The defense turned one double play.
Bojarski and Moyle each drove in one run for Perth. Spencer Sarringar went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the side in hits. The defense didn’t commit a single error in the field as Bojarski had the most chances with 10.
Carine Cats 6, Perth 3
Carine Cats outlasted Perth 6-3 on Sunday at Inglewood Oval D1. Perth opened scoring in the first after Spencer Sarringar doubled, scoring two runs.
Perth added one run in the third as Sarringar doubled, making the score 3-0. Carine tied it up in the fourth on an error and bases-loaded walks to Cooper McDonnell and Kamil Pejchat.
In the top of the fifth, Carine broke up the tie when Oliver Wilkinson singled, scoring one run. Then a single by Carlos Salas followed to extend the lead to 5-3.
Cats starter Timothy Holmes surrendered five hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking one.
Boston Foot stepped on the hill first for Perth. The hurler gave up three hits and three runs (zero earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking five.
Meylian Marin threw three innings of no-run ball for Carine in relief, giving up two hits, striking out four and walking three.
McDonnell led Carine with two runs batted in. Salas, Wilkinson, Finley Scott, Ethan Campbell, Pejchat, Holmes, and Arata Samukawa each collected one hit while the team took nine walks for the game. McDonnell, Wilkinson, and Campbell led the team with two free passes each.
Dylan Bojarski and Sarringar were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Perth. Sarringar provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading with three runs batted in as the cleanup hitter went 3-for-3 on the day.
Braves 13, Gosnells Hawks 3
Kevin Clark drove in four runs on two hits to lead Braves past Gosnells Hawks 13-3 on Sunday at Frankland Park D1. Clark doubled in the first inning, scoring one, and hit a home run to center field in the second inning, scoring three.
Braves jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Ben Drew singled, scoring one run, Clark doubled, scoring one run, and Matt Kennelly singled, scoring two runs. Daniel Choi doubled and Lenny Golding singled, each scoring one run before the inning was over.
Clark homered to center field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the second for Braves. They added four more in the third on three hits. Joel Beches doubled and Yuto Okamura singled, each scoring one run, before Sam Kennelly hit a two-run homer to left field.
Broadee Binder began the game for Braves, giving up six hits and three runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out none and walking two. Todd Hatcher tossed two innings of scoreless ball in relief, giving up zero hits, striking out two and walking two.
Patrick Frezza stepped on the hill first for Gosnells. The starter gave up 12 hits and 13 runs over three innings, striking out none and walking one.
Braves totaled 13 hits in the game. Kennelly, Clark, Drew, and Okamura each collected two hits while the defense turned one double play.
Robin Adamson drove the middle of the lineup, leading Gosnells with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 2-for-2 on the day.
Braves 5, Gosnells Hawks 1
Braves topped Gosnells Hawks 5-1 on Sunday at Frankland Park D1.
Braves got on the board in the first inning after Sam Kennelly hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Liam Collins homered to left field, scoring two more runs their next time up.
Louis Scaramella hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the seventh for Gosnells.
Matt Kennelly earned the win for Braves. The pitcher gave up one hit and one run over seven innings, striking out eight and walking none.
Jason Armstrong took the loss for Gosnells. The starter went five innings, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out one and walking four.
Collins, the number seven hitter for Braves, led the way with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Joel Beches and Kennelly each collected two hits as Beches had four of the team’s five stolen bases. The defense didn’t commit a single error in the field as Kevin Clark had the most chances with nine.
Scaramella led Hawks with one run batted in. The shortstop went 1-for-3 on the day. There was a double play on defense, too.
Rockingham Rams 4, Wanneroo Giants 1
Rockingham Rams outsted Wanneroo Giants 4-1 on Sunday at Hourglass Reserve D1.
A home run to right field by Yosuke Fujie put Rams on the board in the bottom of the first.
Vincent Tarantola earned the win for Rockingham. The southpaw gave up four hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking two.
Dylan Bandy took the loss for Wanneroo. The pitcher went four innings, surrendering two runs on four hits, striking out three and walking one.
Fujie and Jesse Sequeira each drove in two runs for Rockingham. Sequeira led with two hits in three at-bats. The defense turned two double plays in the game.
Adam Barbarich led Wanneroo with one run batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Maxim Fullerton led with two hits in three at-bats.
UWA Magpies 11, Swan Districts Swans 10
Kyle Poapst collected three hits in six at-bats, as UWA Magpies defeated Swan Districts 11-10 on Sunday at Charlie Hodder Field D1. Poapst hit a home run to right field in the third inning before singles in the fourth and fifth innings.
Despite falling down by six runs in the fourth, Swan Districts tried to fight back. They closed the gap by scoring on a single, a walk, a single, a hit by pitch, a single, a fielder’s choice, and a sacrifice fly.
UWA Magpies were first to get on the board in the first when Dillan Clarkson induced Poapst to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
A double by Kye Varrone gave Swans the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the second. UWA Magpies jumped back in the lead in the third when Poapst homered to right field, scoring two runs, Josh Mikus doubled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run.
Swans scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Sean Means singled, Varrone drew a walk, and Taiyo Kurosawa singled, each scoring a run. Nick Hoyt was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Michael De Gasperis had a base hit to bring home another.
Brody Clarkson hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Swan Districts tie the game at 10 in the bottom of the seventh.
UWA Magpies took the lead in the top of the tenth. Henry Kellen drew a walk, scoring one run, to give them the edge, 11-10.
Poapst pitched five innings in relief for UWA Magpies. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and one run while striking out nine and walking five.
Chris Crawford started on the bump for UWA Magpies. The righty allowed six hits and eight runs (four earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out one and walking five.
Clarkson began the game for Swan Districts. The hurler gave up 13 hits and nine runs (eight earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking two.
UWA Magpies collected 17 hits in the game. Poapst, Tyson Edwards, Jaden Babiuk, and Mikus each collected three hits while Michael Albertini went 2-for-3. They had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 11 walks as Albertini and Kellen led the team with three bases on balls each. Babiuk had three of the team’s four stolen bases while the defense turned a double play.
Swan Districts totaled nine hits in the game. Varrone led with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup as the outfielder went 1-for-4 on the day. De Gasperis, Riley Ozanne, and Clarkson each collected two hits. The team took 10 walks with two apiece for Gasperis, Ozanne, and Varrone. There were two double plays on defense.
Victoria Park Belmont Reds 10, South Perth Souths 7
Ryan Boyer collected three hits in five at-bats, as Victoria Park Belmont defeated South Perth 10-7 on Sunday at Collins Oval D1. Boyer hit a solo home run to left field in the third inning before singles in the fifth and eighth.
Reds got on board in the top of the first after Joshua Greenham walked and Ryosei Miyazato singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
South Perth tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a triple by Ronnie Allen Jr. and a single by Craig Saupold.
Reds took the lead in the top of the third. Boyer hit a solo home run to left field to make it a 3-2 ballgame. Vic Park scored five runs on five hits in the eighth inning. Boyer singled and Miyazato doubled, each scoring two runs, and William Truscott singled, scoring one more.
Masa Fujiura stepped on the hill first for Vic Park. The pitcher surrendered four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out six and walking three. Logan Truscott and Cody Van Der Graaf each appeared in relief.
Takashi Umino started on the bump for South Perth. The starting pitcher allowed 12 hits and five runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking two.
Reds tallied 19 hits in the game as Miyazato led with three runs batted in. The catcher went 3-for-5 on the day. Ben Warrington went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead the side in hits while Truscott, Boyer, and Kanta Suzuki also had multiple hits.
South Perth totaled nine hits in the game. Allen Jr led South Perth with three runs batted in as the second baseman went 3-for-5 on the day. Caleb Scorer took two of the team’s six walks.
Wanneroo Giants 2, Rockingham Rams 0
Arnad Mulamekic was dominant on the mound, as the hurler rang up 10 strikeouts in Wanneroo’s 2-0 victory over Rockingham on Sunday at Hourglass Reserve D1. Mulamekic gave up two hits and zero runs over six innings while walking two.
Both teams were strong on the bump. Wanneroo pitchers struck out 11, while Rockingham sat down four.
Giants were first on the board when Daniel Stephenson singled to score one run in the fourth.
Isaac Keehn stepped on the mound first for Rockingham. The pitcher allowed four hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking four.
Frazer Brice tossed one inning of zero-run ball for Wanneroo in relief. He allowed two hits, striking out one and walking none.
Stephenson went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Maxim Fullerton, Stephenson, Jacob Santich, and Jake Turnbull each collected one hit for Wanneroo as the defense turned one double play in the game.
Yosuke Fujie, David Nichols, Jesse Sequeira, and Jacques Langford each collected one hit for Rockingham.
