The 2025-26 Qbit CBL N/S Division 1 Semi-Finals are done and dusted, with Carine Grey beating Braves and Roleystone defeating Willetton.
Braves (Loser Semi-Final 1) and Roleystone (Winner Semi-Final 2) will face off in the preliminary final on Sunday 15 March at 2:30pm at John Dunn Oval.

Carine Cats Grey 9, Braves 2
Ben Hoffman collected three hits in three at-bats, as Carine Cats Grey defeated Braves 9-2 on Sunday at Frankland Park D1 in the 1 vs. 2 semi-final. Hoffman singled in the first inning, and doubled in the third and fifth.
Cats opened the scoring in the top of the first with Hoffman’s RBI single. They scored five runs in the third inning on the way to victory. Paul Flanagan, Hoffman, and Brett Plummer hit RBI doubles before Gabe Thomas brought in two on an extra-base hit.
Justin Hayto stepped on the hill first for Carine. The righty gave up five hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking two. Hoffman appeared in relief.
Andrew Reid stepped on the mound first for Braves. The starting pitcher surrendered 14 hits and nine runs (seven earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking two.
Carine piled up 14 hits in the game. Plummer and Hoffman each drove in two runs while Jarrod Ross collected two hits in four at-bats and stole two bases. The defense turned two double plays.
Braves totaled 11 hits as Dillon Best led with three hits in three at-bats. Tremaine Roberts, Reid, and Brett Edwards also had multiple hits while Billy Donovan had two of the team’s four stolen bases.
Roleystone 5, Willetton Wildcats 3
Roleystone defeated Willetton Wildcats 5-3 on Sunday at Willetton Park in the 3 vs. 4 semi-final. A sacrifice fly by Sean Wright put Willetton on the board in the top of the first.
Roleystone flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.
Josh Coe earned the win for Roleystone. The hurler surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking four. Jesse Scidone collected the save.
Glen Tovey took the loss for Willetton. The pitcher went five and one-third innings, surrendering five runs (four earned) on 10 hits, striking out four and walking three.
Roleystone totaled 10 hits in the game. Andrew Drury set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading with three hits in four at-bats. Thomas Dickson and Jamie Wilkes each drove in two runs while Mitchell Smart collected two hits in three at-bats.
Wright, Tovey, and Amy Russell each collected one hit for Willetton. Wright and Russell each drove in one run as the team worked the count all day, piling up seven walks.
