The 2025-26 Qbit CBL N/S Division 1 season is heating up as Roleystone, Braves, Carine Grey, and Wanneroo came away with big wins in Week 13.
Roleystone, Braves, Willetton, and Carine Grey make up the top four in the standings, but Balcatta isn’t far behind.

Roleystone 16, Willetton Wildcats 10
Alex Scidone drove in four runs on three hits to lead Roleystone past Willetton Wildcats 16-10 on Saturday at Willetton Oval D1. Scidone hit a home run to left field in the first inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the fourth inning, scoring one.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Roleystone collected 13 hits and Willetton Wildcats 10 in the high-scoring affair.
Roleystone jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Scidone homered to left field, scoring three runs, Thomas Dickson singled, scoring one run, and Clint Bick singled, scoring one run. They added two runs in the second when Dwayne Pycroft singled to center field, making the score 7-0.
Willetton scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the third inning. Josh Coe induced Glen Tovey to hit into a fielder’s choice, but two runs scored, David Wright singled, scoring two runs, and Kaylan Grigg singled, scoring two runs.
Roleystone scored seven runs on six hits in the top of the fourth inning. Scidone singled, scoring one run, Dickson singled, scoring two runs, Andrew Drury singled, scoring two runs, and Coe doubled, scoring two runs.
Coe stepped on the hill first for Roleystone. The pitcher gave up eight hits and nine runs (eight earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking seven. Andrew Isles appeared in relief.
Willetton starter Michael Bellenger gave up 10 hits and 14 runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking three.
Roleystone totaled 13 hits in the game. Scidone and Bick each collected three hits while Pycroft and Dickson each collected multiple hits. Drury and Isles stole multiple bases with eight total on the team.
Willetton tallied 10 hits in the game. Grigg, the number eight hitter, led the way with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-2 on the day. Brendan Clark had three hits in three at-bats as the team had strong eyes at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Scott Drew, Travis Grigg, and Bellenger led with two walks each while the defense turned one double play.
Braves 12, Carine Cats Blue 10
There were runs aplenty on Saturday at Frankland Park D2, as Braves outsted Carine Cats Blue 12-10. Braves collected 10 hits, while Carine had 15.
Braves didn’t take the lead until later in the game. It was tied at 10 in the bottom of the sixth when Brett Edwards homered to center field, scoring two runs.
Carine jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Nathan Magorian homered to right field, scoring three runs, and Paul Donati hit into a double play, but one run scored.
Braves tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to singles by Robert Olivieri, Dan Plummer, and Edwards, plus a double by Phil Hawke. They took the lead in the second when Olivieri hit a solo home run to right field, making it 5-4.
Carine jumped back into the lead in the top of the third inning after Magorian homered to right field, Donati singled down the right field line, and Murray Halse singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Braves flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 10-7. The biggest blow in the inning was a grand slam to center field by Dillon Best that drove in four.
Carine tied it up in the top of the sixth thanks to two singles. It became a 10-10 ballgame on a single by Mitchell Fragall.
Andrew Reid earned the win for Braves. The starter allowed 15 hits and 10 runs (nine earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking none.
Simon Macneall took the loss for Carine. The reliever went two innings, allowing six runs on four hits, striking out none and walking one. Starter Clayton Fragall surrendered four hits and four runs (zero earned) over one inning, striking out none and walking one.
Braves tallied 10 hits in the game. Olivieri, Hawke, and Edwards each collected two hits while Best went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in. The defense turned one double play.
Carine collected 15 hits as Magorian drove the middle of the lineup, leading with four runs batted in. The shortstop went 2-for-4 on the day. Fragall went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead the side in hits while Halse, Adam Melis, and Aiden Corkill also had multiple hits. Corkill stole two bases with five overall for the team.
Carine Cats Grey 10, Balcatta Bears 4
Carine Cats Grey won 10-4 over Balcatta Bears on Sunday at Richard Guelfi Reserve D1.
Balcatta got on the board in the first inning after Dylan Coyle singled, scoring one run. A triple by Fraser Clarke extended their lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning.
Carine Cats Grey jumped into the lead in the top of the third when Jarrod Ross doubled, scoring one run, Paul Flanagan singled, scoring two runs, and Ben Hoffman singled, scoring one run.
Coyle grounded out, which helped Balcatta tie the game at four in the bottom of the third. It wasn’t long before a single by Hoffman gave Carine the lead, 5-4, in the top of the fourth.
Justin Hayto led things off on the mound for Carine. The hurler allowed seven hits and four runs over four innings, striking out five and walking one.
Dan Bailey led things off on the mound for Balcatta. The hurler allowed 19 hits and 10 runs (nine earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking one.
Hoffman pitched one and two-thirds innings of scoreless ball for Carine in relief. The reliever allowed one hit, striking out one and walking none.
Cats collected 19 hits in the game. Mark Summers, Hoffman, and Hayto each collected three hits while Flanagan, Hoffman, and Sean Quinlan each drove in two runs. Scott Plenderleith and Corey Aurala also had multiple hits.
Clarke led Balcatta with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The third baseman went 1-for-2 on the day. Leadoff hitter Bailey led with two hits in three at-bats while the defense turned one double play in the game.
Wanneroo Giants 9, Alkimos Titans 3
Wanneroo Giants won 9-3 over Alkimos Titans after starting the scoring in the second with Makayla George’s RBI single.
Clinton Du Preez grounded out, which helped Alkimos tie it up at one in the bottom half of the inning.
In the top of the third, Wanneroo broke up the tie when Harry Nichol singled, scoring one run. Then a fly out by Madison Lines followed to extend the lead to 3-1.
George opened the game for Wanneroo. The hurler surrendered six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Lines pitched one inning of shutout ball in relief, giving up zero hits, striking out one and walking none.
Alkimos starter Dylahn Lawrence allowed seven hits and seven runs (three earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out five and walking three.
Meaghan Haggart provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading Wanneroo with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 3-for-4 on the day. Nichol collected two hits while Charlotte Yates, Samantha Thrush, and Megan Everitt led the team with two walks each (eight total). Jessica Knight stole two bases with four overall in the game.
Duvan Meyer and Aiden Facey each drove in one run for Alkimos. Lawrence led with two hits in two at-bats and a pair of stolen bases.
