The 2025-26 Qbit CBL N/S Division 1 season is in full swing as Balcatta, Roleystone, Willetton, and Carine lead the standings after nine weeks.

Balcatta Bears 8, Roleystone 7
Balcatta Bears rallied to defeat Roleystone 8-7 on Sunday at Richard Guelfi Reserve. Balcatta trailed by as many as seven runs during the game.
Roleystone got on board in the top of the first inning after Jesse Scidone homered to left field, scoring two runs, and Jamie Wilkes doubled, scoring one run.
Roleystone added to their early lead in the top of the second when Andrew Drury doubled, scoring two runs, Josh Coe doubled, scoring one, and Mitchell Smart grounded out, scoring another.
Balcatta tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a walk by Reece Clarke, a single by Dylan Coyle, and a hit by a pitch.
Frazer Clarke led things off on the mound for Balcatta. The starter surrendered six hits and seven runs (six earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. Caleb Day pitched three and one-third innings in relief, giving up three hits and zero runs while striking out four and walking two.
Imanol Marentes began the game for Roleystone. The hurler allowed five hits and seven runs over three innings, striking out five and walking five.
Balcatta’s Brad Gaynor, the number eight hitter, led with two hits in two at-bats. Clarke went 1-for-1 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Ashley Murchison paced the side with two out of six walks while the defense turned one double play.
Roleystone tallied nine hits in the game. Smart, Scidone, and Wilkes each collected two hits as Drury and Scidone both drove in two runs.
Carine Cats Blue 12, Alkimos Titans 9
There were runs aplenty on Sunday at Halesworth Park D2, as Carine Cats Blue topped Alkimos Titans 12-9. Carine collected eight hits, while Alkimos had six.
The bottom of the lineup was strong for Cats. Matt Moala, Brian Maloney, and Clayton Fragall combined for four of the team’s eight hits in their victory. They scored four runs and drove in three.
Carine got on board in the top of the first inning after Shaun Baker drew a walk and Murray Halse grounded out, each scoring one run. Next, Moala was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, before Fragall, Mathew Ward, Mitchell Fragall, Adam Melis, and Simon Macneall all took bases-loaded walks. Baker singled, scoring two runs, before the inning was over.
Carine Blue added one run in the second after Fragall flew into a fielder’s choice.
Alkimos scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the second inning. Ben Dandie grounded out, Xavier Longley singled, and Craig Rowland grounded out, each scoring one run. Donald Westbrook was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Duvan Meyer singled, scoring two runs.
Carine added one run in the third. Maloney singled down the left field line on a 3-0 count, making the score 12-6.
Macneall pitched three innings in relief for Carine, giving up three hits and three runs (zero earned) while striking out five and walking none.
Fragall led things off on the hill for Carine. The starter surrendered three hits and six runs over two innings, striking out one and walking three.
Baker drove the middle of the lineup, leading Carine with three runs batted in. The right fielder went 2-for-3 on the day while Moala also had two hits. Cats had patience at the plate, piling up 10 walks for the game. Fragall, Macneall, and Melis led the team with two free passes each.
Meyer drove the middle of the lineup, leading Alkimos with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Meyer and Phil Burns each collected two hits while Burns stole two bases. Titans were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error as Longley had the most chances with six.
Carine Cats Grey 11, Braves 5
Paul Flanagan drove in five runs on four hits to lead Carine Cats Grey past Braves 11-5 on Sunday at Millington Oval D4. Flanagan singled and doubled in the first for 4RBI before another RBI double in the third.
Carine scored nine runs in the first inning on the way to victory. Flanagan singled, scoring one run, Justin Hayto singled and Matt Lawrence doubled, both scoring two runs. Scott Plenderleith followed up with an RBI base hit before Flanagan doubled, scoring three runs.
Carine added one run in the second after Plenderleith doubled down the left field line on an 0-2 count. Flanagan doubled to center field to score another in the third.
Hayto stepped on the hill first for Carine. The righty surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking none. Ben Hoffman and Sean Quinlan each appeared in relief.
Dillon Best started on the hill for Braves. The hurler surrendered 13 hits and 11 runs over four innings, striking out two and walking two.
Carine collected 15 hits in the game. Brett Plummer, Quinlan, Lawrence, and Plenderleith each collected multiple hits while Jarrod Ross and Lawrence each stole multiple bases with six total in the game.
Darryl Olsen went 1-for-4 at the plate and led Braves with two runs batted in. Billy Donovan, Phil Hawke, Brett Edwards, Olsen, and Ava Tyson each collected one hit while the defense turned one double play in the game.
Willetton Wildcats 13, Wanneroo Giants 2
Willetton Wildcats defeated Wanneroo Giants 13-2 on Sunday at Willetton Park D2 thanks in part to nine runs in the sixth inning. Michael Bellenger and Sean Wright hit RBI singles, Scott Drew took a walk, scoring one run, and Justin Pascoe doubled, scoring two. Next, Jonas Bowron singled, scoring two runs, before bases-loaded walks to Geoff Otterman and Taj Humble.
Wanneroo opened scoring in the second after Ollie Tilley doubled, bringing home one run. A groundout by Xavier De Haas extended the lead to 2-0 in the top of the third inning.
Glen Tovey singled to right field, which helped Willetton tie the game at two in the bottom of the third. An error gave them the lead, 4-2, in the bottom of the fourth.
Tovey started the game for Wildcats, giving up six hits and two runs over six innings, striking out five and walking one.
Grace Spano started the game for Wanneroo, allowing four hits and four runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out one and walking four.
Willetton collected 10 hits in the game. Tovey and Wright each collected two hits while Tovey, Bowron, and Pascoe each drove in two runs. Adam Humble led with three of the team’s 11 walks and stole two bases. Wildcats were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error as Otterman made the most plays with six.
Harry Nichol went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Wanneroo in hits. De Haas and Tilley each drove in one run while the defense turned one double play in the game.
