Baseball WA’s 2026 Derbarl Yerrigan Indigenous Round officially kicked off on Friday night as Braves and Morley faced off. The Eagles walked away with the DYHS Championship Title following a close 4-2 game.
This year, Derbarl Yerrigan are giving away amazing prize packs throughout the two weeks, plus a custom championship belt for the winning teams on Friday night games at NSR Hire Ballpark. Morley got the first belt, and this Friday 27 February, it will be a battle between Rockingham and South Perth.
The Indigenous Round activities kicked off with Derbarl Yerrigan guests at the ballpark, including Trevar Walley Stack (Elder) and Isaiah Walley Stack, who performed the Welcome to Country, as well as Destiny Taylor, who threw the first pitch. They were joined by Ragilen Kristnasawmy and Gemma Thomas.
