Carine Cats juniors Ryder Wimmer and Ty Clark, along with Byford Bushrangers’ Xavier Clampett, have been named in Team Australia’s 18-player squad for the 2026 WBSC U12 Oceania Championships in Guam, with WA’s Mark Pettit appointed as pitching coach.
The tournament runs from 27–30 November 2026, with Australia facing hosts Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. Each team will play its opponents three times, with the best overall record earning the region’s sole place at the 2027 U12 Baseball World Cup in Tainan, Chinese Taipei, in July.
Australia enters as defending Oceania champions after winning the 2024 qualifier and achieved its best U12 World Cup result with ninth place in 2025. The squad will be led by Manager, Max Brennen, who is taking charge of Australia’s U12 team for the first time.
Fans can follow the campaign through live scoring on the WBSC website, with results and updates available through Baseball.com.au and Team Australia’s social media channels. Baseball WA congratulates Ryder, Ty, Xavier and Mark on their selection and wishes the Australian team every success in Guam.
