Baseball Australia & Sport Community have partnered to deliver Club Spot to all clubs, free of charge.
Who we are and what we do. At Sports Community, we understand that sport is more than a hobby in Australia, it’s a way of life that has deep roots in our society. That’s why the administration of sport is so important to the Australian sporting landscape that we felt the need to help those at grassroots level and those who help clubs at grassroots level. Sports Community was established in 2012 by a group of experienced sports administrators, educators and business managers to help local sports clubs, their volunteers and the organisations that support clubs and volunteers. We are passionate about providing information in the way that each volunteer prefers to learn.
Club Spot is a volunteer support program for your clubs. The program is a collection of resources designed to empower sports club volunteers at all levels, unlocking all of sports community’s resources for Baseball Australia clubs to use.
Through our partnership with Baseball Australia, all affiliated clubs have free of charge access to our online volunteer support program, Club Spot.
1. Access to our Online Resource Portal including: Hundreds of Sports Community created resources created specifically to support club volunteers: presidents, secretaries, treasurers, committee members, fundraisers, grant writers, website and social media coordinators, sponsorship and facility managers.
2. A location to store any volunteer resources Club Spot allows you to store all your documents in a single location.
3. Monthly Task Checklists As part of the registration process, volunteers provide their club’s AGM date so they can choose to receive a monthly club checklist relevant to their financial year cycle, to assist volunteers with their club responsibilities. Monthly tasks are supported with links to Club Spot and additional resources to make volunteers’ jobs easier.
4. Club Spot Members Newsletters The Club Spot email newsletter is a fortnightly digital publication that shares news and information to support, assist and add to our Club Spot users’ experience. Open grants are passed along to clubs and volunteers as part of this publication.
5. Online Training Courses and eBooks Club Spot also gives you access to Sports Community’s extensive library of online video training courses and eBooks that normally retail in our online store. With hours of video training and pages of information, you’ll be able to access our Volunteer Learning Platform to get up to speed on a wide range of topics from grant writing and sponsorship to committee induction courses.
