Christina Kreppold

BWA Hall of Fame Inductee 2026

Christina played for Melville Braves Baseball Club in Women’s Division 1 from 2000 to 2015, establishing herself as one of the premier players in the competition during that period. In 2010, she competed in the Baseball WA State League competition, performing at the highest level in Western Australia.

She represented Western Australia at the Australian Women’s National Championships from 2000 to 2014, debuting at just 16 years of age. Across 14 national championship campaigns, she secured bronze in 2009, silver in 2013 and gold in both 2010 and 2012, earning multiple All-Star selections and MVP honours. Her sustained excellence at national level was recognised with the Australian Baseball Federation Women’s Player of the Year Award in 2012.

At international level, Christina was a long-standing member of Australia’s women’s team, the Emeralds. In 2001, she was selected in the inaugural Australian team to compete in the third Women’s Baseball World Series, the only West Australian selected. In 2002, she was part of the Australian team that won gold against Japan.

Following the launch of the IBAF Women’s Baseball World Cup, Christina represented Australia across six World Cup campaigns. She competed in 2008 where Australia finished fourth, in 2010 where the team secured a historic silver medal, and again in 2012 and 2014, finishing with bronze in her final campaign. In 2010 she was named to the World Cup All Star Team at third base. During the 2014 tournament she led multiple offensive categories before injury restricted her game time, leaving her just short of eligibility for individual honours including tournament MVP consideration.

Her selection across six World Cups places her among Australia’s most accomplished women’s baseball players of her era. Through her sustained performance at the highest level, she has set a benchmark for future generations and remains a strong role model for girls and young women aspiring to compete in baseball.

In 2026, Christina became the first female inducted into the Baseball WA Hall of Fame, a milestone that reflects the strength of her playing record and standing within the game.
