Scott Cameron

Born June 13, 1962

Scott Cameron was a product of the youth talent factory that the Morley Eagles Baseball Club developed in the early 1980’s along with players such as Tony Adamson, Doug Mateljan, Dean Mitchell, and Trevor Malcom. Combining an elite work ethic with great athletic ability and excellent fitness levels, Scott developed into one of the most versatile players WA has ever produced. Although he made his reputation as a dominant pitcher, he was capable of playing nearly all positions on the diamond at Club, State, and international levels.

Scott also broke the “pitchers can’t hit mode”. A tough out, Scott had the knack for getting on base and was a threat on the bases. However, it was on the mound that Scott produced his best baseball.  He pitched in many clutch winning games for his Club, State and Nation. In fact, Scott produced his best performances on the mound in the biggest games against the toughest competition.

Possessing a high baseball IQ and highly competitive nature, Scott was a great team guy, while being highly respected by opposition teams.

Below are some of the highlights of Scott’s career:

  • Claxton Shield Player 1981- 1990 ( State Team, Brewers, Perth Heat).
  • Co-Captain of Inaugural Perth Heat Team
  • Wanneroo Giants – 1986-1991 MVP
