Baseball WA is excited to announce the annual Machine Pitch Summer Classic is back and will be aimed specifically at all girls playing tee-ball, baseball, softball, or brand new to the sport.
From January 15 to 18 January 2024, Empire Ballpark in Thornlie will play host to players aged up to 14 years old from all over Western Australia (age as at 31 August 2024).
Individuals register for the event and will be placed into teams at the end of the first day and then play three days of games with expert coaching. Each day will start at 9.00am and finish at 1.00pm.
MP70 is machine pitch played on a 70-foot diamond size (same size as Intermediate League) and ideal for regional players, tee-ballers wanting to give baseball a go, and metro players who would benefit from more game play and the enjoyment of a tournament-style event.
“We can’t wait for the 2024 Girls Machine Pitch Summer Classic, which will give young girls the chance to improve their skills while playing in a fun tournament environment,” BWA Participation Manager David Hayes said. “We hope to see a great turnout of girls ready to play ball and make awesome memories on the field.”
All players shall receive a training shirt and cap as part of their registration, all insurance cover and coaching staff.
Stay tuned for registrations opening soon.
Any questions relating to this fantastic event should be emailed to pdo@baseballwa.asn.au.
