Game 1: Central Firebirds defeat Eastern Phantoms
Jaxon Gloriod led the charge for the Central Firebirds, driving in four runs to steer them to a 12-3 win over the Eastern Phantoms. Gloriod’s double in the second inning gave the Firebirds the lead, while Summer Hiscock and Taj Humble chipped in with two hits apiece. Hiscock also impressed on the mound, striking out five over five and a third innings. The Firebirds showed patience at the plate, earning 10 walks and stealing eight bases without committing an error. Despite a strong three-hit effort from Shu Kamata, the Phantoms couldn’t keep pace.
Game 2: Coastal Bay Sharks edge out Swan Hills Aces
The Coastal Bay Sharks claimed a 5-3 victory over the Swan Hills Aces, thanks to daring base running and a sharp eye at the plate. Noah Wainwright and Jackson Lawrence both stole home early, helping the Sharks build a lead. Zachary Tapscott pitched four solid innings for the Sharks, allowing just two hits. Nicholas Szendeleit drove in two runs for the Aces, but it wasn’t enough. Coastal Bay Sharks finished with 11 stolen bases and six walks, with Lawrence leading the charge with two walks and multiple steals.
Game 3: Southern Titans hold off Southern Hills Warriors
The Southern Titans survived a late comeback to defeat the Southern Hills Warriors 7-5. Tajh Curtis-Wainohu dominated on the mound, striking out 14 and giving up just two runs over nearly six innings. Braxton Ryan led the Titans’ offence with two hits, while Curtis-Wainohu and Te Ara Anderson each drove in runs. The Titans stole six bases to keep the pressure on. Despite a late surge from the Warriors, led by Anderson Magro and Jaxon Skinner, the Titans’ early 5-run lead proved too much to overcome.
Game 4: Wanneroo Giants outlast Carine Cats
The Wanneroo Giants pulled off a thrilling 9-7 win over the Carine Cats. After trailing early, the Giants exploded in the fourth inning, scoring six runs thanks to a key double from Beau Gordon. Gordon finished with three RBIs, while Cody Bennetts led with two hits. Declan Burns kept the Giants steady early on the mound, striking out three across two innings. Despite strong efforts from Mason Steele and Alexander Shea, and eight stolen bases from the Cats, the Giants held firm to claim the win.
