Tonight we saw two action packed games with 4 teams wasting no time trying to outperform and out-position each other.
Tex Prisov Leads Eastern Phantoms Past Western Tigers in Dominant 13-2 Win
Tex Prisov put on a batting clinic at Empire Ballpark on Friday night, driving in four runs and leading the SL – Eastern Phantoms (B) to a commanding 13-2 win over the SL – Western Tigers (B) in a one-sided contest.
Prisov wasted no time getting involved, singling in the first innings to bring home a run before doubling in the second and fourth to cap off an impressive individual performance at the plate. He finished with three hits and four RBIs, setting the tone for a Phantoms side that looked sharp from start to finish.
The Phantoms got off to a flyer in the bottom of the first, plating four runs. Prisov’s RBI single opened the scoring, followed by a two-run double from Isaac Romeo. Romeo then added the fourth run himself, tagging up to score on a fly ball. From there, the Phantoms never looked back.
They kept the pressure on in the second innings, with Prisov again at the centre of the action. His double sparked another multi-run frame, helped by a key hit from Romeo and a costly error by the Tigers.
After adding one more run in the third, Eastern Phantoms put the game well out of reach in the fourth innings with a five-run burst. Xavier Loosmore and Hyte Brooks each chipped in with an RBI, while Prisov struck again with a three-run double to blow the scoreline wide open.
On the mound, Prisov also delivered. The right-hander picked up the win, tossing two innings of three-hit ball while striking out five without issuing a walk. Loosmore and Romeo backed him up in relief, combining to shut out the Tigers for the remainder of the match.
Eastern Phantoms dominated in all facets of the game, racking up 10 hits, seven walks, and an eye-popping nine stolen bases, with Kayden Prosper and Prisov leading the charge on the basepaths. They also played error-free defense, with Flynn Hennessy steady in the field and responsible for 11 chances.
Despite the lopsided score, the Tigers showed some grit. Aden Lynn and Jayden Woods each drove in a run, while five different players registered a hit. However, the team’s pitching struggled to contain the relentless Phantoms lineup, with starters Tyler Fraser and Lachlan Vincent unable to find rhythm.
The win keeps the Eastern Phantoms in strong form as they look ahead to their next clash against SL – Carine Cats (B) on Saturday.

Carine Cats claimed a strong 11-6 win over Swan Hills Aces in a lively Friday night clash at Empire Ballpark.
